Head gasket still on the block?

Have you checked for stored codes? Could be a blown head gasket or burning oil. Block test and compression test or cylinder leak down test will tell you. Are you losing coolant or oil? What color is the oil.

What are your symptoms?

Most likely the water and oil is from taking the head off. Post a picture of the head gasket head and block. What was the original reason for bhg and taking head off? Also can take the head to a reputable machine shop and have them check it out.

Does it stop smoking when warmed up?

Stock turbo is the cheapest. If you have a t4 manifold already can use a holset. Can find them used on eBay all the time and rebuilding is cheap.

You need the clutch. Use a tt clutch and a na fan blade.

Iirc leather seats.com or something sells black covers. There is thread of step by step that is pretty recent.

Just need a crank pulley bolt to turn the crank. Pulley doesn't need to be on but should be if starting.

Ya or a rubber mallet.

I've always just moved it around and pulled. Iirc there is a o ring on it.

Ya you just pull and turn and it will come out.

Should be running a 4an feed and a 10an drain. After that Put a test gauge on it and see what the numbers actually are.
