You can search for US patents here. http://www.uspto.gov/
Google is also putting together a nice patent search engine http://www.google.com/patents It finds all my patents whereas the USPTO page seems to miss some.
There are people here at my workplace who have made $1M with a single...
Its almost certainly the exhaust cam seal. They petrify from the heat just like the CPS o-ring. Mine fell out into my hand it was so shriveled up.
You cannot verify it without removing the pulleys and the black belt cover backing plate. The oil runs down behind the plate and shows up all over...
Since your head is apart, be sure to plastigage the cam journals, especially the rear ones on the exhaust side. See this thread for details.

You can grind the valve stems if you need to add clearance but it is best done on a lathe with a tool post grinder.
The shim sizes are all defined here (T=x is the thickness in mm).

They run about $6 each. Last time I did...
Rubber fuel lines for FI cars must meet SAE 30R9 (contains a viton inner liner to prevent fuel permeation through the rubber). Use 30R10 inside the tank.
So start with the easy stuff.
First thing I would check is the ignition timing, as described here...

When I first did this mod, I used washer nozzles from a Volvo V70. I chose them because I own a V70 and loved the way they spray. I was able to get them to fit in the hood after some dremel work and a few washers.
Later on, I was walking through the parking lot at work and noticed that late...
I have been having a differential gear oil leak from my left oil seal. I replaced the seal twice, the second time being very careful to put it in straight but it still leaked.
So, I pulled the half shaft out once again and took a good look at it. It had a barely perceptible groove in it where...

Sorry, I was describing SAFC type devices that go between the AFM and ECU. The problem remains, however, since the VPC generates a frequency that simulates the AFM. and the frequency is low at idle, no way to get around that first 30ms of dead time.
It is a delicate balance during that...
The problem with our Karmen-Vortex AFMs is that at idle the air-flow signal to the ECU is a very low frequency (30Hz or less), which means that with no electronics between the AFM and ECU you are looking at a minimum of ~30ms (the period of a 30Hz signal) before the ECU can tell that the air...
My car did that for 7 years. It was the beginnings of a BHG.
But.... first, you should check all your coolant hoses for leaks, especially crusty deposits at the fittings indicating a slow leak.
