Damn you Southerners and your February Supra Meets!
When you're at the meet, think of me because I'll have 3' of snow on the ground at that time. :(
lol
The problem is, this setup is not for sale.
from a cost vs. improvement standpoint, I think it's a fantastic setup hands-down.
No need for further arguments/defense as far as I can see.
We're doing a good job keeping it civil though, so thanks for that.
Jeff: I loved driving around with...
Very welcome Fermin. Take it easy, though. The naysayers will say what they want, but from where I'm sitting, it's a good job especially considering what you had to work with.
Much more presentable than my PVC setup.. ::shhh:: :D
Although people didn't know it was PVC until I told them it was...
I think he proved that the bend isn't such a big deal provided the fact that there are plenty of guys making 500+ whp on this setup.
Is it a bad thing? i think not.
is it optimal? probably not, but it works, and it's better than factory.
optimal is FFI and a side->side IC, but that's not an...
I did the same thing one day.
Got home, parked my car in the driveway. Extremely hot day, must've had my mind on swimming as the first thing I did was walk out back and jump in the pool.
Go inside after and I'm watching TV, messing around in the house, so forth.
About 3 hours later my dad...
holy my god.
that's awesome! I was looking at the first pic like "uh, twin? I see the plumbing..."
Then the second pic and "oohhhhhh sweet!"
nice work. Vids are a must!
I used Amsoil 80w90 in my trans, but it was notchy as hell.
No grinding though! lol
If I were to do it again, I would use MTL as I've heard good things about it, but nothing like personal experience.
BTW: Pennzoil makes a Synchromesh equivalent and it's only about $6/qt at Autozone IIRC.
If it's about 1" OD, then that's probably the right one.
If not, any auto parts store or garage with an o-ring assortment should have the right one, or at least one that'll work sufficiently.
Or, just leave yours in an order one from Toyota.. they're not much at all.
yeah whatever, teabagger...
metalocalypse is an amazing show, btw. nice avatar!
looks pretty good, I think! Now all you've got to do is extend it down through the snorkel hole and to the intercooler. After all, the fender IC pipe is one of the biggest restrictions in the stock system.
