I used Amsoil 80w90 in my trans, but it was notchy as hell. No grinding though! lol If I were to do it again, I would use MTL as I've heard good things about it, but nothing like personal experience. BTW: Pennzoil makes a Synchromesh equivalent and it's only about $6/qt at Autozone IIRC.

If it's about 1" OD, then that's probably the right one. If not, any auto parts store or garage with an o-ring assortment should have the right one, or at least one that'll work sufficiently. Or, just leave yours in an order one from Toyota.. they're not much at all.
