Is it edited with photoshop, or is it ridiculous lighting effects to make it look like a artificially generated image?
To advance BASE timing, you need to jump E1+TE1 on the diag plug.
With the CEL flashing, and engine idling at 650rpms, you can shoot your timing gun at the crank pulley.
The timing gun should be clipped accordingly to the battery and the first or sixth spark plug cable.
To advance the base...
Spool guns used w/ MIGs are apparently not very good.
But for something as CRITICAL as sealing is concerned, I wouldn't even mess with making a manifold.
The learning experience is EXCELLENT, however I wouldn't USE the manifold unless pressure tested.
Well I might have enough piping left over to make the upper pipe... but I've been really busy working on my own car for this Supra meet coming up.

I've also heard the 1/2 NDT will squeeze in, as it's not NBT... but would be close.
I started from the head flange nice and tight, then secure it with a zip-tie or something. Then keep it tight and don't miss any spots. :)
It's itchy, so wear gloves.
Apparently a lot of people soak the wrap in water first... but I didn't... no ill effects here.
