Well an engine needs three things, fuel air and spark.
If you have each of these things happening the next thing to check is timing, making sure these events are happening at the proper times.
After this, if everything checks out so far, make sure that you're getting a good spark and enough...
Silicone for IC piping is stupid IMO. Just eat the price and buy a 'universal' IC piping kit or buy a bolt in kit.

The one wire is the voltage regulator. Make sure the battery terminals are cleaned from all corrosion as a bad connection can cause charging problems.
Vacuum leak won't change your fuel pressure with the line disconnected. If having the vacuum leak for the 30 seconds or so it takes for you to adjust the fp, put a finger over it or attach it to your cheek :P
Starts and runs great for 10 seconds then slowly dies. Drain your gas tank, curious about the results. Sounds like the car is getting enough pressure to start and run but the demand overcomes the supply shortly after.
