Odd, the TSRM shows an "oil cooler pipe": http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=AT&Page=43
Where does it go? My radiator has the fittings for it in the bottom tank. Two rubber lines should go to it. Every auto. trans. I've ever worked on has had a cooler in the...
Its too small to do any good. Oh, and if it ruptures and pushes out the trans. fluid while you're driving, kiss all those clutches goodbye. The good trans. coolers are less then $50, will extend the life of your trans., and are easy to install. If you really want to do it right, put an inline...
It does sound like an ignition switch problem. Don't see that much in Toyota's, but Fords and Chevy's do that alot. As far as getting it out, I havent done one in a Supra yet, but I can check it out on my parts car tomarrow.... hopefully I remember....
The only way an injector will leak like that is if its stuck open. An easy way to check for that would be to pull the spark plugs and see wich one's badly fouled with unburnt fuel.
lol, couldn't remember if that was you or not. Thanks for the testing tip, by the way, used it at work the other day to test a diff. car with similar symptoms.
There is a big ground wire on the bottom starter mounting bolt, maybe on the back of the head(don't quite remember, I do a lot of head gasket jobs), from the trans. mount to one of the bolts on the cross member, battery to body, probably some others I can't remember.
Iirc, isn't the intake air temp. sensor part of the AFM? I saw a post recently where someone else only had a prob. with their AFM when the car was at operating temp. you might try testing the AFM with the car warmed up to see if it makes a difference.
Don't worry about that connector in the pic. It doesn't go anywhere on this car. as for the fuse blowing, sounds like you have a dead short somewhere. Check your wiring. Make sure you have all three grounds hooked up on the bottom of the intake.
Hmm... dunno if its possible or not, but doubt it. It is possible, however, that they were both bad. I found a good reman'd. rack at a local parts store. Don't remember how much it was, but it was a whole lot cheaper than the dealer.
toofast4urass: Here's some links to what you want to know:

This header needs the y-pipe welded to the collectors...
You'll find that some of the domestic and metric sizes are interchangeable. For instance, 7/16 and 11mm are almost identical, as well as 5/8 and 16mm. The bigger they are, the easier it is to interchange them. 1 1/4" should work quite well.
Replaced the whole lever outta my parts car. Yeah, its pressed in. Was gonna call Toyota to see if I could get the bushing, but they aren't open Sat. here, and didn't feel safe waiting for it to be ordered. Probably have to buy the whole lever to got it. The TSRM doesn't show it as coming...
