I did 310whp on a bone stock 1jzgte with just a $10 home depot boost controller.
Thats lame to do all the work of going single, to make hp you can do on stock twins with just cams.
I still didnt get the lenght. Seems kinda long for an SC300 shaft. If you have a W58 tranny with a bad carrier bearing or front u-joint, you can still use this no matter what car you have. The front shaft is the same lenght on every car (so i've been told). A new front shaft from toyota is...
If you buy an SC300, you can do the swap in one afternoon. The last swap I did (prepped engine of course), i started at noon by taking the 2jzge out, and drove the car at dinner time.
I remember reading about this engine roughly 5 years ago. It uses a jointed conrod. When i last heard, they were only able to produce enough power to move a human on a gokart, i guess its gone along way since!
Just don't "twist" the wires in a spiral or anything when packing them up with tape.. It adds more resistance and can hinder performance.
Best thing to do is when extending a harness, get an ohm meter, and check before and after on each extended wire from ecu plug to sensor plug. Its the...
That's awesome! So did I. Took me 6 months of the car sitting in a shop I rented due to me working 40+hrs a week and not cheaping out on the most important things of a Single turbo install. The turbo, intercooler, and fuel system. The only thing ebay on this car is the universal intercooler...
Oh yes, I know what works. Its parts that do not come off a website that starts with E and ends with Y. JZ motors have been single turbo'd since 1993, Why experement with dodge cummins turbos when its already very documented what works and what does what in the world. If you can't afford it...
I had a big GT40 have a bad thrust bearing and rub the housing. It makes a nice loud harmonic screeching noise, not ticking. Think of nails on a chalkboard, VERY loud.
CT12A blades are a ceramic alloy, turbine and compressor side, not "steel". You'll shatter them like an egg and destroy...
You stoles my idea!! I used one out of a 90s honda accord with an F22. I had to flip the bracket around, and it mounted perfect to the OEM SC300 remote tank bolt on my old 1993 SC300 that I sold. Total cost was $5 at a junkyard.
I run 2 relays. I use a 96+ Ford Taurus 2 speed electric fan (perfect fit for sc300/supra radiators and high speed is 3800cfm).
One relay to a key'd power source for low speed when the engine is on. High speed on another relay when i turn the AC on (very easy to do with a ecu pinout chart)...
