I have a Precision GT40-88. Don't waste your $$ on one unless you get the undevided exhaust housing (from precision). The stock one is soooo restrictive and laggy.
Originally got banned because someone was selling a beat up sc300 with a stock 1jz swap for 18k. I posted in there that I did in fact see this car in person, and it wasn't worth 18 dollars.
First ban.
Got tired of that nonsence, so created another username
ban.
and been banned since.
Just stating a known fact. If you want to compare turbos, it's going to have to be at 12psi because the A340E can not hold anymore power. I don't think the holset will have that problem :)
Short notice photoshoot. We also busted a BMW meet at a Hooter's, awaiting those pics. I popped my hood and show'd them what a real inline 6 is supposed to look like :naughty:
4 car's are 1JZ-GTE. The Green with black rims is my wife's old 1jz SC that we sold so she could have a BMW.
My wastegate spring is at 12psi, because anything more then that and the A340e can't hold it (over 400whp).
Thats giving the holset an advantage, because 12psi on a GT40-88 isn't even near efficiency.
No spray. Just 93 octane pump. If your local dyno has a MAP sensor on it, it can...
Ok, lets do this.
When I dyno my car for pump gas, we can compare the results.
$1500 GT40-88 with precision housing
$250 Holset Turbo
Including spool maps
