MKIII wins the cake for interior comfort. Out of the MKIII, MKIV, and SC.. SC being the most uncomfortable and just plain weird. In order for me to be able to touch my radio buttons without leaning foward every time, I have to put the seat so far foward I eat the steering wheel. the MKIV...
Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay...
I turned 16 in 1998, during the height of the japanese muscle car era. I always hated the MKIV, even back then. I was a huge gen3 RX7 fan til FATF came out, and made my dream go frok 8k to 16k and made that dissapear.
I'm here for some good chats with fellow toyota lovers and to learn and share what I know about the 1JZ-GTE engine. The MKIII being a very popular 1JZ swap and testbed for new parts, It's only natural that I visit here since my sponsor is a major company that develops alot of MKIII 1JZ parts...
that bolt just holds the metal back plate on, nothing more. Looks like it worked loose and hit your cam gear by the picture(it will happen if you don't use thread locker, happened to my car too, but i caught it in time with my weekly inspection), and fell into the timing belt and ate it...
It's to lower server utilization. How would you feel if 50 people kept pushing the new posts button every 5 seconds, this site would go to a stand still
Yeah my wife DD'd my 93 SC with a stock 1jz auto for a year. She said if it was 5spd she'd have kept it forever. Most reliable car i've ever owned. Out of the 1+ years of daily driving 50mi round trip in stop and go traffic every day, all it ever needed was just oil changes. Cruise, A/C...
Yeah, I never claimed to like the styling either. The interior makes no sence. Im 6'1 and still have to reach to turn the radio knobs. It's a good base for a autoX or drag car tho.. they are proven in both fields.
Probably, but with a MKIII it just seems like there is way more maintaince to work with being that its an older car.
I'd love to get a MKIII with a z20 Soarer front end conversion, but the $$ needed on an 80's car just to fix all the problems would cost too much.
I used to watch them race on TV in a road race series years ago agenst mostly american cars, and it did quite well. It fit the bill for what I was looking for. A RWD car with a huge aftermarket that can make ALOT of HP without spending endless money into things like rods, pistons, etc. I did...
I'm just wanting to understand what made you fall in love with the older MKIII supra. Considering the drop in price for MKIV TT's and the typical amount of $$ spend in alot of MKIII's to get 3-400whp and to replace things, you could have just purchased a MKIV and had so much more.. I'm...
Now that I think about it.... I wouldn't waste 20g's on a old ass car ever again.
I would just buy a new Scion xB with warranty and put the rest of the $$ towards taking vacations.
