Boost reference with a manual controller goes to side port. The top port is for electronic controllers that hold the gate closed to help with spool.
The side port when pressurized opens the gate the top port holds it closed.
Is your controller a ball valve style or a air bleed style? A picture...
Wow very nice information!!!
That wiring diagram is slightly confusing to me. Would this be correct:
A: Ignition on power.
B: Ignition signal (positive or negative?)
C: ?
D: Ground
Are those capacitors necessary? If so what is there function?
As he said, there is no way your pulling that kind of vacuum with an engine decelerating. When you charge an air conditioning system you pull the system under a vacuum to boil off and moisture in the system using a vacuum pump. These pumps are designed to pull vacuum and when left running on a...
Is there any way to enter a turbo class? I understand your reasoning, but when your driving off track you would most likely enjoy a turbo motor more. A stock 7M with a ~61mm turbo with a small exhaust housing, AFPR/ 550's/fuel pump and any type of tuning device will give an easy 300-350 to the...
I just tried looking into both of those options and they seem like theres even less backround support for them then there is for the EMS 8860.
The MSD stuff looks great but its very costly. I cant say that it would be worth the cost for the box and coils. Not to mention i have 6 ignition...
Try gapping down to .020' and see if you still get it, Thats what im running. I Just made a pass in my car and it didnt break up at all. I have noticed the first run goes clean but the second hot run it breaks up. I think im going to try a 180F-170F degree thermostat to keep the motor a little...
Havnt been to the track yet with this setup. Best last 60' with stock converter/turbo/trans and BFG 255's on sawblades was a 2.0 traction limited. I just ran my car on pocket dyno (Iphone app similar to a G-Tech) and it went 12.16@116mph with a 2.0 60' on the street.
Since it went 2.0 on the...
Thanks Empera!
Nick: They also have the optional gearset of the 2.8 for the AODE.
Heres the place im talking about. http://www.fbperformance.com/default.asp
I would go to them and see if they could build me a custom trans to my specs. I dont want most of the "race" mods. I just want...
Tires are almost a direct extension of the wheel, and are also what the offset positions. My point was if the same size tire tire is flush with the fender when mounted to the same width wheel, it doesnt matter what the wheel looks like as the offset is very likely the same.
IMO the appearance...
The turbo is a Master Power T-70, The avatar picture is just a cool picture i found on the Internet.
The Supra Stick is nice i have only really had one issue with it and one suggestion. The only problem i have found is that the converter control is a little basic. I am using an output channel...
Thanks!
Well there are baffles in the valve covers so that oil cannot splash up and get pushed/pulled out of the motor.
The baffles go from the back of the cover to about where the lower section is for the intake tube. These valve covers are from a non turbo so the PCV tubes are in a different...
Well i wanted to drill out the valve cover PCV holes to run bigger lines and got tired of looking at one polished valve cover so i popped them off and did both.
While i was working on the car i installed the Aeromotive AFPR ive had sitting in my room for a while.
Im aware my engine bay...
Good to see you kept the truck!!!! Love that thing.
Do you feel it misfire? My car is a distinct miss that can be felt and herd. Only when the boost is high.
