how many pounds of boost can a 7m handle??

To Expand for Grim.......... The difference between a larger and smaller turbo is the efficiency of the compressor wheel to move air threw the particular housing. Most of the heat in the air discharged from a compressor housing is because the air is physically smaller in volume, not from the...

Tuned vs Cams and Headwork 7M

Strange is with the cams the torque peaks at about 4750 and drops off. Where as the stock cams torque peak at about 5200. Almost seems like the cams hurt the motor more then they helped. Its making the same power on 3 less PSI but the curve looks off. Maybe the cams need to be tuned/degreed in...

    ARP Longer Wheel Studs

For clarification i said rumor because when i posted here and on SF no one confirmed with use on there own personal vehicle at the time. I have not checked the SF thread in a while. I didnt want to say that they fit without first hand myself knowing or knowing someone who first hand confirmed...

how many pounds of boost can a 7m handle??

629.63PSI. If you hit 629.64psi, 2 rods will break, one rod will evaporate, youll melt 3.7 pistons, put a dime size hole in the driver side of the block, 5 valves will shoot threw the valve covers, 2 will go threw the hood and the throttle plate will seize shut. Be careful and happy boosting!

7M-GE Ticking noise, just starting to get louder

True, but i was trying to stay basic. Plus those old hardened injector clips can be a pain in the ass, And if he has friends around when he gets shocked it would be funny too. :biglaugh:

Cam Journals Worn Outta Spec. Looking for a little bit of advice.

If you cut the caps it would make the holes out of round, wouldnt line honing bring them back to round in the proper size for the cam?

    afm resistance

You cant test the actual air metering device without a scope. It outputs a frequency. The Air temp sensor is what your testing with resistance.

7M-GE Ticking noise, just starting to get louder

My car did that when it had rod knock. Also try posting questions like this in the General MKIII Section. Pull one wire at a time when the motor is making the noise and see if it goes away or lessens.

new +89 bodytrim kit in fiberglass with pics.

Looks good, interested in price Though i dont think carbon fiber would be a good idea. One problem is cost, and two is if someones going to hit your car with there door, chances are thats where its going to hit. The cost wouldnt be that big of a deal untill you have to replace a few pieces 2-4...
