    7mgte best rings

Well, it looks like that part number is indeed the correct size, and you should order according to your piston size(std, +.5mm, etc.) You'll have to order two sets, of course.

    Operation Drive and Enjoy

Good luck with the engine rebuild. My 2nd car is similar to your build, in that I wanted to keep it as stock as possible, but a few aftermarket bits slipped into it regardless. The oem sawblades were pretty ugly, and one was bent. since I had 18" XXR's sitting in the corner collecting dust, I...

    Finally upgraded...

Thanks for reading. My '88 Project is getting the high end system, but honestly, putting more than 1 10" or 12" in your car is simply to impress others, not to improve actual fidelity. I am so pleased with my system, simply because it's clean, sounds fantastic, and doesn't kill my interior space.

    Can't build boost

Ps- if you find that this is the case, be sure to mark a new TDC notch on your pulley. Of course, a replacement pulley is a better option, since it could slip again at any time.

    Can't build boost

Your cam timing is probably off now, which would explain the loss of vacuum at idle. There have been a number of people who suffer crank pulley breakage: The rubber between inner and outer sections shears, and the outer pulley section(with the timing mark) moves in relation to the inner...

    7mgte reliability

There needs to be a bit of a gap for heat expansion. The specs should have been included with the pistons, as well as ring gap. If not, call Probe and they will give you the info.

    Damm camber bolt

Available at any dealer, or driftmotion.

    Interesting fuel cut

Any piggyback you use will simply translate MAP signals to frequency, in order to satisfy the stock ecu's needs. That said, fuel cut can almost always be reached with a piggyback. So, first thing I would check for is boost leaks, or exhaust leaks around the manifold nd turbine inlet.

    Eagle Rods Fake or Real?

Making fake Eagle rods would be like making fake Probe pistons...doesn't make financial sense. Not belittling Eagle rods. It's just that they're known as the 'budget' rod upgrade, and they're decent. But If anyone's going to be marketing bogus rods, I'd expect them to make counterfeit Pauters or...

How to obtain at most 300 Wheel Horse Power

Allfans26- Did I already ask you what part of GA you're in? I'm in Lawrenceville. If you're nearby, you can come by and I can look over your motor, and help out if you would want.

Engine under cover: Anyone still have theirs installed? Pic request.

Ok, I'm an idiot. For whatever reason, I was looking at the wrong section of the bumper. I was able to find all of the mounting points, right where they ought to be. Problem solved, and I apologize for any waste of time that I caused you folks. :)

Engine under cover: Anyone still have theirs installed? Pic request.

Hmm...I don't see that on mine. I have the long section of metal that clamps the lip to the bumper, but I don't see any bracket extending out from there. I guess I'll take a few pics to post up.

    Centralia or Bust! ......Delilahs build

All of your recent pics don't show up. At least not for me. (Once you fix this issue, I will be editing this post to say "Great work, looking good!")

    24 year old Tomato Soup

Glad to hear that you got it all back together. In my experience, the most common cause of power steering leaks, is the high pressure line. I had to replace it on both of my cars. You speedo cable issue is most likely the lower(short) section. Only like $20 from the dealer.

Engine under cover: Anyone still have theirs installed? Pic request.

I hear ya. To clarify, I have both covers installed under each fog light, as well as the inner fender shields. Just need a pic of exactly how the front edge of the under cover ties into the lower edge of the bumper.

Engine under cover: Anyone still have theirs installed? Pic request.

As the title states, I need to see a pic of the under cover installed. Specifically, I can't see how the front edge is supposed to tie into the lower valence of the bumper. Online, it shows the part number is exactly the same for 87-92, but I don't have any mounting holes in the bumper that...

    Daily 86.5 bhg repair

I was going to ask for a closeup of the head's coolant passages on the exhaust side, as they looked pretty chewed up. Did you verify that the head gasket's coolant seals fully surrounded the eroded sections? Otherwise, you'll just end up with an instant blown head gasket again. Great work, by...

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Man, I know. I've ignored it for the whole summer. I've just got to get the motivation up to hunt down the oil burning issue its having.

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Update- and hopefully one of the last: I re-upgraded my sound system. The replacement head unit from the Camry started having tapedeck issues, just like the original unit. So, I sold out, and went modern. Complete system, minus rear speakers(haven't touched them because they sound good) was...
