    1987 7M-GE Rebuild

Only one company makes oil pumps for our cars, Aisin, the oem supplier. However, if you want tighter tolerances, i believe that Driftmotion sells improved stock pumps.

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

The 89 and 90 models had this. I don't think its for a tweeter, but rather for air to flow for the 4" speaker.

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Getting closer...and farther away at the same time. You guys know how it is; You fix one thing, you find something else wrong. Here's the motor, entirely complete, with the exception of the rad/ fan/ shroud, which has to be swapped out of my '88. Also, I finally rebuilt my glovebox door...

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Not much has been going on with the '88 recently, as i've been focusing temporarily on the new '89 so i can get it running as a daily driver. But i did finish a little pet project for her. Withe the IC setup and front lip on, I was afraid that the front tow hooks would be somewhat useless, so I...

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Also, I went ahead and replaced the armrest cover. The original is actually in really good shape, with just the barest hint of one seam pulling a bit. But I figured that I may as well go with the new one.

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Agreed, Unless you're willing to pay crazy prices. I was getting ready to try and talk a guy DOWN to $6,000 from $7,000 on a '90 na. And that car had bad AC, leaking power steering, crack in the front bumper, and ruined drivers' side carpet! Got this car for nearly 1/3 that asking price...

safc installed now hitting fuel cut at 10psi

If the knock sensor circuit is showing fault(code 52), then there's no point in trying to tune the SAFC until you repair it. PS- If you installed the SAFC in order to improve efficiency, then I'm guessing that you've had code 52 for awhile, as that will kill mileage.

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Interesting note: The previous owner purchased the car from a young woman. When he got it, the glovebox latch was broken in the locked position, and he had never been able to open it. After about 10 minutes of trying to pry the latch, I finally ended up just using a hacksaw blade to slice...

Project: Git'R driving...a VERY short build

Hey guys, Some of you may have looked over my other build thread- "Project Get'R done", a build that is now going on 3+ years that covers every single part of the vehicle, for restoration and modification of my '88. This won't be that. I hope to finish that car by this fall, but in the...
