I was just wondering how you've been. New papa and all I imagine you've been really busy. How's the little one? Still a MKIII owner? What's the latest on it?
Is there a dragstrip close to you guys? Put on a pair of drag radials and go have some legal fun. You'll find all sorts of competition there and come back with all sorts of kill stories. You might even get some on video to show us the fun.
Power wash the bay first to get all the heavy gunk off. Spray straight purple power over it all. Wear some gloves and wipe it all down with a rag. Nylon brush for all the crevaces you can't reach. Rinse off well with water hose.
Warning, you don't wear gloves while working with purple...
Yeah, keep track of where everything goes. Set aside your piston/rod/bearings and label which cylinder it came out of. Do not just throw parts around and lose track of where it all went. Just incase you do find out it's not the bottom end you clean and put everything back as long as they were...
I think you're pretty damn lucky to be able to return and get a refund for it.
Oh, and thanks for the heads up. Most people would be too ashamed to tell anybody they'd been had on an ebay deal. At least you warn us so it would happen to anybody else.
Dan, you went from just wanting to swap over to another 7m to doing a full rebuild with possibly forged pistons, P&P 1mm oversized valve head. Peer pressure.
If that 7m you have lined up is good why not just slap an OEM gasket on it, ARP bolts, and disable the clutch start switch and be...
Have you tried to adjust the push rod play? My clutch was releasing all the way at the top of the clutch pedal travel. I had to adjust it to bring it down. Try that.

The picture you are showing it a 1980 Corvette. Three engines were available that year. LG4 305 cranking out 180hp. L48 350 pumping out 190hp. L82 350 boasting 230hp.
1974 was the last year of the 454 big block.
I was a "Cool Starry Bra" nontheless.
Looks good. 2.0l 4cylinder RWD... sounds good to me. You know there's going to be aftermarket for this car. New and with a warranty, what are you waiting for?
