    Header/Exhaust System Design

The OBX is the same. Cylinder's 1, 2, and 3 in the first collector, and cylinder's 4, 5, and 6 are in the second collector. I'll try to get some primary to collector lengths, and the first 2 collectors to the last collector lengths. So, you're saying 1, 3, and 5 should go into the first...

    Header/Exhaust System Design

Interesting discussion. I could see a need for larger primaries for you, Allen. Does that Pacesetter have a thick flange? Might just scrap the primaries, and build your own. You can get mandrel bends and straight tube in pretty much any size you want from Summit and prostreetonline.com...

    well-running NA?

I have most of the bolt-ons done. Header, exhaust, intake, ignition, and working on finishing the suspension. Only thing I'm missing is the MaftPro. I cleaned everything when I did the head gasket a few years ago. It pulls good. I've taken a stock 88 G.T. Mustang. If that girl would have...

    Head maching questions

The timing cover should be bolted on the block, and both machined together. If it wasn't, you need to have it surfaced again, correctly. You could measure the block, from the deck to the oil pan on each side, and see if they're the same. I believe Home Depot sells a tape measure that is...

    head bolt size????

Use a tiny dab of trim adhesive on each injector clip. Put it on the outside of the injector where the harness goes, not in the wire connections. A tiny dab will hold it in place, and let you pull it off later. Use too much, and it'll make a mess, and you won't be able to get it back off...

    Aftermarket coil upgrade for 7MGE

This is the one I used. MSD Blaster SS: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MSD%2D8207&N=700+115&autoview=sku Simple to wire, and just built a little bracket to hold it on the igniter. Had it on my car for close to three years now, no problems.

So N/A guys, why exactly are you N/A?

I love my n/a. Hands down, best car I've owned. I've had a Mustang, Firebird, Camaro, 280z, a couple of older vehicles as well. Supra beats them all hands down for quality, ride, handling, and being just plain old fun. Now that I've got a few $$ in it, it's even more fun. As far as the...

Started the 7M today but now it won't start.

First, I'd say the battery was never charged thoroughly. You need to leave it on 2amp trickle charge over night, and see if it takes a charge. Second, with the w.p. seized, radiator messed up, I'd be worried about the rest of the cooling system. Change the t.stat.(I might have missed it)...

    Timing belt firsttimer.

Trick for the crank bolt: Do it first. Put a breaker bar on it, so that when the motor turns, the breaker bar is wedged against the floor. Iirc, it should be pointed down and to the driver's side. get in the car, and bump the key to the start position. Might take a try or two, but will...

Just completed Head gasket job, Rod knock?!

I always put a thin layer of grease on o-rings when installing them. Keeps them from pinching, which could be your problem. Vaseline will work good, too. Lubrication for the tight fit... TSRM: http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=101 Voltage readings...

So you have oil in the coolant, and not coolant in the oil? These are two different symptoms of two different problems. Please clarify which you have.

    ELECTRICAL HELP!

I don't think it would start without the ignition box being on, but I don't know much about them. Shaking it probably isn't doing it any good, though. Sounds like it has a loose connector somewhere, or maybe a broken wire. The point is, it could be quite a few things.

    swelling

I think you need a new hose(definitely wouldn't hurt...). Might change the bottom one while you're at it. Could also be the system is over-pressurizing, which could be caused by a malfunctioning radiator cap, or the radiator is plugged up, not letting enough coolant through.

    ELECTRICAL HELP!

It "could" be. I'm not sure, though. If you can't work on electrical systems, you really need to take it to someone who can. Jetjock could probably do this with ease, but I'm not an electrical expert, and, as such, will only tell you to check the basics. You might do some reading here...

    7MGE ITBs

You can get name brand(Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda) mini, gas powered 4-wheelers just for kids. 50cc motors, 3 speed trans., with no clutch, and not very fast. Make good beginner bikes, if you want to go that way. Most have remotes, as well, so you can shut it off if they're headed for trouble.

    ELECTRICAL HELP!

lol. If I knew, I'd tell you. I'd start with making sure the battery is charged, connections are clean and tight. You could check behind the driver's kick panel, and make sure all of the connectors there are plugged in, and none are loose. In the wiring diagram, it shows some other fusible...

Having troubles with the tranny....I think.

Could be a catalytic converter issue(for being "strangled" and sluggish). If they get plugged up enough, they won't let any exhaust through, in effect, strangling the engine. Easiest way to check that would be pull the cat. and go drive it. It'll be loud and nasty, but you'll know if there's...

    ELECTRICAL HELP!

The fusible link is better because that's what is supposed to be there. You could also put a 100 amp main fuse there as well. The "head lights and fogs came on but nothing else..." sounds familiar. Think this makes the third or so post in the last 2 weeks with similar symptoms.
