    High temp RTV????

Oh, sorry, it'll leak oil there(where the rtv goes). A coolant leak in that area could be the t.stat., the housing that bolts to the block, or the water pump. Best way to test for a coolant leak is a pressure tester. I think the oil pan seals to the bottom of the back timing cover, so...

    High temp RTV????

Seth: Yup, it'll leak there. I did the same thing.... As to the valve cover gasket: Go to the local parts store and get Felpro's. Work just as good as the ones from the dealer, and cheaper. The only place it needs to have rtv are the corners where the v.c. goes over the cam caps. Just a...

    More Power for My NA?

Get the rear diff. from a turbo car. Some have 3.90's, some have 3.73(?)'s. Iirc, all are of them for the turbo cars are limited slip. That, and you could swap to an r154. There's a pretty good post in Defiant7M's build thread here in the n/a section about changing the overdrive gear, which...

    screw or no screw?

PRE-89 have a bypass screw on the throttle body(It might even be only to 87, but not sure). Although it will effect idle, by letting air bypass the throttle plate, it is NOT an idle adjustment screw. If everything is working correctly, that screw should be fully closed.

Doh! That's right, this one is controlled by the tps, isn't it.

I NEED HELP FAST! WITHIN 45MIN I'm Selling my Supra!

The pulley is off because the snout of the crank is fubar'd. Search under his user name, and you'll see it. The reason it overheats is because there aren't any belts on it, due to the fact the dampener is off. If the buyer pops the hood, and takes a look, as any one buying a car should...

Spring is approaching, and have a few problems to deal with

Read this about oil: http://63.240.161.99/motoroil/ When you're done, you'll know more about motor oil, what it does, and how it works, then your average mechanic.

    Gas pedal feel and sensitivity

Check the throttle linkage, throttle cable, and kick down cable. If you disconnect the throttle cable from the linkage on the motor, you should be able to pull and push it easily through the full range of the pedal. You could also disconnect the little rods, clean, and grease the ball and clip...

    transmission fluid change

Go to the local parts store, and get a flexible funnel. Most of them have a step on the end that fits perfectly.

Hmmm... So would it help flow to remove some of the shrouding with stock valves as well?

Under drive pulley? If you don't have the harmonic dampener in place, you're in for trouble...

    Header/Exhaust System Design

I think AJ was asking if they were in the order that Allen has determined(1,3, and 5 in one collector, 2,4, and 6 in the other), a page or 2 back, to which my answer is correct. Thanks Allen :)

    Header/Exhaust System Design

No, they're not. 1, 2, and 3 are on one collector, and 4, 5, and 6 are on a separate collector. The header needs a little modifying to make it fit right, but not a big deal. I had mine fit in an hour or so. That includes changing all the studs, but none of mine stripped. Before you install...

    the waterfall=fail!

You need to go have the cooling system pressure tested. That will tell you where all the leaks are, and you can fix them easily. You can also "borrow" a tester from A.Z. The adapter is a tight fit, but it will go on. The drain for the A/C should be a little 90 degree hose coming out of the...

Removing the rear axle from hub?

Wouldn't be the first time I've had to remove one with an air hammer and dull point... PB Blaster does work wonders.

    the waterfall=fail!

You have air in the system. No, it's not always a blown head gasket. You need to figure out what is happening, and fix it. Watch the little drain that comes out of the firewall for the a/c. If coolant is coming from there, the heater core is leaking.

    Header/Exhaust System Design

The OBX primaries range from 18" to 21". The collectors(2 3into1) are about 10" long. Here's a link to one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-St-Steel-Exhaust-Header-86-92-Toyota-Supra-NT_W0QQitemZ370007202242QQcmdZViewItem I like the idea of swapping 2 and 5. Been looking at the header...

So N/A guys, why exactly are you N/A?

Labrat: Be careful with the 302. I've seen 2 split in half, from crank to cam. One was a turbo motor, the other was nitrous. Just too much power for the stock Ford block to hold. I've also seen a couple that broke the main girdles right out of the block. Those where nitrous cars, as well...
