I put in a whole new grey dash and carpet a few weeks ago. I got rid of all the black dyed stuff except the glovebox, and have everything else except a radio and some normal pedals. Should be done very soon.
Okay I will post the info for coil pack relocate here...
Pssh my colors are awesome. Yes the writing which looks very cool. No ugly coil pack dent or studs. There is an indentation where the 3000 pipe would set so I could fit my 3" pipe better. The PCV is moved back which does a great job of holding my coil plugs in.
Just spent a couple days swapping to N/A valve covers, trying to make the bay a little cleaner. Here's a couple pics in case anyone is interested. When I get some more cash I will use tookwik's coil system for sure, but this was kind of fun. Any questions?
Alright so here's the engine bay after a few days work. Relocated the coil packs, swapped to NA valve covers, blocked ISC. Other stuff I don't remeber.
89+ tails and new wheels. Still working on re-clearing the hood and roof.
Since my car makes good power now its time to focus on other things. I have been converting my interior to a single color, cleaning up paint, and cleaning up the engine bay. Kind of embarassing telling people about my 360hp supra and watching their face when they see my nasty engine bay :<...
Hey Jay, my roomate (Andrew, big guy) just picked up a supra and put a 7m in it over the week. If your car gets ready soon, we need to meet with you and Vonda for a photo shoot.
Nice numbers for sure, you even beat the turbo'd 350Z the time I watched. Don't know how fast he ended up being.
My best was 14.1, first time driving stick on the track. Guess I will have to learn to drive if I want to compete at IFO.
I am slightly confused. If the setup is routed like that with an oil thermostat, then until your oil is at operating temperature it will not go into the filter either. I assume that's bad.
After reading about the rx-7 cooler a while ago I started looking for one. I found one at the junkyard for cheap, but now I see why it cools so well. That thing is monstrous, I'd have no idea where to mount it.
I don't know specifically but my upgraded ct-26 is in its efficiency between 16-18psi. They will push more air at lower boost levels, but you really want to have them above 12psi to feel their power.
Of course you will need to get around fuel cut, so it probably wouldn't be worth it in a stock...
The SAFC won't be worth it if you have the map ecu. MAP ECU is much more powerful, whereas the SAFC will basically just change the AFM signal. Since you aren't using the AFM anymore and the MAP ECU will control all your fueling, no point in keeping the SAFC.
Southwest flies into Houston, and if you order a couple weeks in advance (whoops too late) you can get flights for like ~$80.
I don"t plan on making it unless I hop in the back of suprahero"s car when he"s not looking.
I haven't used the stock piping in a while, but it should be red. Closer to the throttle plate = better. The other hose is alot further in the manifold. It's a short length just pull off one side of the hose and blow and see which one it is :D.
Hmm I was about to try and figure a way to relocate the coil packs and throttle bracket so I could run the NA valve covers. This is a much nicer solution, its great to see people's hardwork pay off. Nice job!
