  • Just wanted to thank you for doing that write up on replacing the rod bearings from the bottom. I have an 82 I'm about to do the same thing to. --Did you also replace the upper bearing on the rod side? I assumed you did but didnt see that in your write up....Is it hard to slip out the upper bearing? Also...maybe it would be possible to give you a call after I get the pan off just in case i get stuck--don't worry i wont be a PITA as I may not need to but just a little confused still on how to order the new bearings using the crank, rod & bearing #'s---thnx for your help!
Well I sold my 87 rx-7 to a guy I work with. I bought a 2000 vw gti for a daily driver, it will stay stock and be in charge of getting me to work.

I started the bodywork on my 84 rx-7 this week. I'm going to try and get it painted before the end of the month. I still haven't picked a scheme yet, but its going to be an all-out race car. I still think of getting a mkii or something to rally instead. This car works for now.

I helped Holdbrooks on a 5spd swap today for his red N/A. I put the pedals and master cylinder in. We will need to figure out what to do with the wiring next. Once he gets the engine rebuilt, it should drop right in.

Did you go to the IFO? I'm registering to road-race at the October speedforsale event. Hopefully I'll see you there.
