    alternator price?

    Advance Auto wanted about the same and it would be like a 3 week wait, forget that we took our chances at the boneyard. It's probably not as common anymore but usually there are starter/alternator type shops around that will rebuild your armatures and whatnot for cheap.

    Door lock question.

    Yes the number is stamped on the passenger lock cylinder. If you take off the door skin, the lock should just be held in by 1 10mm bolt.

    No, the reason people run it is because it has a wider valley for unmetered air. I suggest you research this further before putting it in your car. The electronics, honeycomb, etc are all the same.

    lex afm help

    The accordian hose will fit over it just like the factory AFM, it may require a little stretching though. Same dimensions as the factory AFM so the intake kit for the 7m works fine.

    Timing...

    This just happened to us on a 7m install last week. I was very confused. The car idles, but is still having timing issues, and this makes it much more complicated. I think we will have to move the CPS a tooth off of where it is supposed to be to get 10btdc.

    Air ride suspension.

    I thought they were trying to get air ride so it could be set up for racing and whatnot? As mentioned it can be fully adjustable like coilovers. Not saying I would put it on my car, just saying there is more to the technology than lowriders.

    The valve should only pass air after you let off the throttle, ie. when vaccum is created on the small line.     Pssh I pull plug wires to diagnos ignition problems all the time. The only time I get zapped is if a wire has a ripped spot and it arcs into me.

    Yeah I was surprised too, 500 mile engine still has valvetrain noise. Of course the rest of it is dead silent.

    Turn up the boost! Of course relaibility is another story completely. Focus on getting the car up to the task of power first, then go for the basic upgrades (exhaust, downpipe, intake etc.). 300 is too easy these days.

    It could be BHG or as simple as air in the system. I'd burp the system to start out with. Otherwise check for leaks. Give the throttle a few revs when you see it spiking to see if that gives it any change.
