My car is a POS whats wrong with it?

Why did you bypass the neutral safety switch? It keeps you from accidentally starting the car in gear. That could be the reason you have code 43, as it is part of the ignition circuit. I'm not sure if the n.s.s. on the auto is wired thru the anti theft box, but the clutch switch was on my...

fans supposed to run after engine is shut off?

I use electric fans, and had them wired so that they would come on at a specific temperature, even when the key was off. I didn't know that it would actually extend the life of my battery, so I rewired it to run only when the key was on(once it reached the correct temp., of course). Typically...

    Last Help Thread, lol

Mark where #1 is on the dist. itself, before you take the cap off. Then, when you pull the dist. up, you know where to set it. You want to go behind your mark a bit, as the gears are cut at an angle, and the rotor will turn as you put the dist. in.

    whats next for performance?

Presuming that, since you've done the head gasket, you did the timing belt, water pump, etc., I'd go for the suspension. Bushings, bearings, dampeners and springs.

    Smoke...?

I recall seeing a post not long ago where someone did have a turbo issue causing white smoke. Iirc, the ct-26 is both water and oil cooled. Somehow(I don't recall the actual problem), the turbo was leaking coolant into the exhaust, which was causing the white smoke. You can do a block leak...

    overheating? no water?

You'd be lucky to get away with just a head gasket job. I wouldn't be surprised if the bottom end is damaged. Piston rings, rod bearings, and main bearings, aren't made to take that amount of heat. The oil breaks down rapidly as well, and the coolant that is most likely mixing with it isn't...

cleaning the fuel rail and injectors...

I have been able to clean an injector without sending them out. I made an injector clip that I hook up to a battery(holds the injector open), spray them with throttle body/injector cleaner, and apply air pressure to the end that goes in the fuel rail. It has worked quite a few times, but there...

Odd. I don't have that issue with mine. It's not the same brand, but it is a similar tool.

    internal Distributor leak

If you're brave, you could pull it apart, get the seal number, do some cross referencing, and figure it out. If not, I have an extra dist. laying around, and could probably figure it out over the weekend.

    What now???

Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, new cam and crank seals, and any worn or weathered coolant hoses. Maintenance items. I'd also replace any worn or damaged bushings(suspension again), and fix any leaks you find(valve cover gaskets are a common place).

    Baffled

Actually, they are used to diagnose a no spark condition. Does the engine have to be running in order for there to be spark? Technically, you're having a misfire condition, just on every cylinder. Illusive: If there is spark, the light will flash. If there isn't, it won't. Pretty simple...

Have you actually checked for spark? Cheap spark tester You can probably find similar ones at Sears, Auto Zone, O'Rielly's, etc.

Thoughts and ideas on an intake.

Or get it ceramic coated. Looks better than header tape, or the silver intake bags, and works quite well.

    Headers

Google search "7MGE headers." Stainless is better than mild(S.s. won't rust), and mandrel bent is preferred. Use the search here, as there are quite a few threads talking about different headers, and one good one specifically about them.

    Oil still leaking

The FIPK is good. The Right Stuff(Napa sells it, I believe), will seal thru diesel oil, some of the nastiest stuff on earth. I have some good friends who do nothing but diesels, and this is what they recommend. No matter what sealant you use, make sure all surfaces are clean and oil free to...

    having a big shake!!

When you brake the steering wheel shakes? Could be warped brake rotors in the front for that. I'd get the wheel balance checked, as mentioned before. Possible a weight came off.

    Thrust Bearing Install

Could be that the ends of the thrust bearings are too tight, making them bow a bit? By backwards, I meant you could have them on the wrong sides, or maybe flipped top for bottom. Just to be sure, you are putting the cap on facing the right direction? When you took it apart, what condition was...
