ok..just trying to help here.
i went 86.5 -Turbo. and i change the injector resistor pack to a turbo car, as well as the fuel pump relay/resistor pack, trying to help out the post. thats only what i read..and its good so far.
not sure what you saying but... i changed to the gte injector resistor because i read that the ge injectors were high impedance and gte injectors were low impendance. or vice-versa. either way i changed them and it started no probs. but maybe it didn't make a diff....
edit
ohh i change...

you can see the 'injector resistor pack' on the far left(drivers side) and 'fuel pump relay' /resistor pack on the pass side. i think there different not 100% sure though. when i went na-t, so basically the same swap as far as electronic...
can you smell fuel coming out of the tail pipe?? did you change your fuel pump resistor pack, and injector resistor pack??? not sure if they'll stop your injectors from firing but i'm pretty sure there different.
knock wouldn't, but when the bearings actually spin and they 'stack' on top of each other it can seize it. happen to a 4 banger i had,the starter did finally get her over;) and running--not a pretty looking rod/crank.
before you commit to this i would check your oil and try to diagnose the...
i think it goes on a eng to eng type basis... i dont think theres a benchmark on knock to spun bearing..two days does seem kinda shy if your going easy on it. i would try turning it over first, go from there. but if the eng "twists" when trying to start; i'd start thinking its mechanical
try and turn it over with a socket and a breaker bar. maybe it was knock and a bearing finally spun. cut a filter open see if you got lots of fine metal.
yah i would recomend a soft line kit from rabidchimp..makes it nice and easy. i would also recomend the turbo valve covers, for the coil packs but mainly so the throttle linkage works out...trust me;)
