Hey B Shaw,
I asked my co worker if he knows any tuner shops in your area since he lived in the Waco area and he knows of one in Waco but they do mostly Hondas and Subarus. He said they same thing you said about the shop in your area. I know it'll be a pain in the azz drive to austin area...
The only other tuner i know of in the Austin area is MZM tuning. I haven't dealt with them personally but a co-worker of mine had his Evo tuned there and loves his tune. I've actually driven his car and the response is very tight. Little tap of the gas pedal and it wants to dig all 4 in go...
1.You try junk yards.
2.The for sell section. Look for someone parting the car and ask him for the brake lines.
3.Try Toyota Champion auto parts in the vendor section.
4.Place a Wanted ad.
Well Mike .....I've just been unable to make decisions on what to do to the car. I've pulled the engine......again.....due ti a compression issue and coolant leak. I get side track with the i wanna do's and what needs to be done. Now that the holidays are about over maybe i can get some focus...
Hey Rufus
Does your car build boost better now instead of hitting hard at high rpms?

Do you have any pics or build thread link for your 240sx. I wanted one of those originally but fell for the Supra. Might be my next try at a build/tinker.
Nevermind.....found it.
Welcome Kase. Got any pics of your car? There should be some Houstin guys around here ...not that I'm tryin to shoo you away. My grandpa lived in Columbus....my he rest in peace. Nice town from what i remember but a little too small for my taste.
I used the ARP lube that came with the studs and nuts. I did use a thread chaser before installing the studs. I can't remember what was checked on the head. I have re-installed gasket and head ....torqued to 85ftlbs. I know car hasn't been started to bring it to operating temp but i went ahead...
Sorry you had to go through that crap. Does sound like a cop who wants to throw his authority around. Other than that looks like you had fun. I really need to get on the ball and get this car back on the road and keep it there. This is my motivation....at least make one of these runs and see...
Not being cheap...jus asking. I would like to try it. Never taken apart a turbo before just want to see if i can take one apart and rebuild thats all. Plus it can be a good standby when i get my 57trim and beat that crap out of it.
So when is hunting season over? You've been on here regularly...
I've looked around on some forum threads and they say to scrib the nut on the intake side in relation to the shaft. I wondered about balancing too. Members that have done it have not reported any issues. I amember messaged me and said to take it to a shop that balances turbos....should cost less...
Ok im going to try and source out another head and have it checked . I'm a going to clean up my head gasket and try this head while I'm waiting to source another. I will perform the re-torque as suggested after 3-5 heat cycles.
