if you certain its a bhg then yes a drive would only further worsen things. otherwise a car thats been sitting i like to give it 'spirited' drive to help "re-seat" the rings.
i thought it was the intake cam that was different??(little more lift) only bringing this up because i dont want to swap BOTH!! lol.
Research IS key, but remember it is just nuts and bolts;)
If you are goin NA-T then i suggest you READ A LOT, I would consider getting a GTE pistons also, not...
You must of been misinformed on the fact they dont have wastegates, diesels dont have BOV because they have no throttle plate, and they are vacum operated, ie after the throttle plate on a gasoline engine.
ohh and i'm all for if it breaks upgrade it, but dont think you can drop a huge ass...
yah thats why i was asking you about your cams, i'm a na-t and shortly switching to gte cams:)
theres a few threads on them, basically they bypass a major 'safety' that the ecu has. search it and that'll explain better
if you want it to last, i think most everyone wil say drop the fuel cut defender.
what boost you running? and why NA cams have you tried both?
i assume you mean OEM afm, stock ECU and what not too?
yes, do what the book says. edit: turn each bolt the same each pass(ex. maybe 1/4 turn each) dont loosen and remove one at a time.
if you dont have a breaker bar, or a cheater(pipe, snipe ect)
the ultimate bad habbit is to use the box end of a wrench:naughty:...be careful.
most diesels dont make a lot of power per se'....but ohhh the torque:aigo:
but yah most haul trucks/dozers I see dont do much past, if any past 2500rpm
unless of course they run away:evil2:
but the 797 haul truck has 117 litre displacment!!! and its "redline" is 1700rpm if I remember...
no I meant LARGE diesel engines haha, see pics.
I know your right but judging on displacement only, RPM and VE,(i think diesels are better, but cant remember) you would figure they would flow less CFM. i know i'm missing somthing prolly in the fuel..
If you really want I'd phone them and give them the PN, even with that funny symbol infront of it, maybe call it a 'Decal'. I bet it was used on more than the Supra.
its a funny thing to think about, what are the specs of the eninge/vehicle it comes off of?? i never though about how much "air" a deisel uses, considering any large diesel engine doesnt really rev past 2500rpm
