A broken blade will cause a inbalance, and wear out the bearing in the water pump i belive, i would not recomend it. as for the shroud i would also not recomend it, but not as much. EDIT: I tried to find the video they showed us in school about fan shrouds, but no succsess. Basically...

you HAVE to lower the front sub frame, and lift the engine as high as you can till it hits the firewall. i've done it, its not terrible, i would do it again over pulling the engine but thats me. But the real question is..how much is it leaking? Oil is cheap haha. but a clean driveway isn't...

Yah as stated above, keep it all the same, ecu/harness. but a perk for you, your injector resistor pack from the 86.5-88 7M-GE is the same as the 7M-GTE.

cabbinstabbin- I do have a 7M-GE-T, but its at home, and I never am:( wooosh- check your battery voltage, codes, does your alt have a belt on still? is it tight, coolant may cause it to slip too. if it was a small leak, just steam basically, i'm sure you'll be fine. just check everything out...

Hook it to the down pipe and see how far it opens. It's not really rocket science to figure this out/rule out the WG. And while you do that you can see if it hits your dipstick, if it does, just bend it out of the way.

THATS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN. That VSV vents your regulator to atmosphere on starting, allowing atmosphere 14.7PSI to act on it instead of vacum.

I got a dp off ebay and it stopped my WG from opening, but one from 935 I cant see that being a problem, i would physically check your wg/actuator, put regulated air to it and see what presure it opens at, i hit 15psi because of my issue on a GE block/pistons.... :nono:

Yah, and if you still unsure after that, once its running again let it sit for a few days, and pull the drain plug for a second. Water is more dense.

the second last pic is a knoc sensor plug, the pic with the 2 loose wires and the oil pressure sender, i'd say one of the loose ones is the temp sensor.

I may be wrong but I think that VSV only ups fuel fressure for intial start up, then lets vacum act on the FPR again, I doubt thats your problem. And like I said, if you wanna test it simply unhook the vac line to your FPR and see if it changes your start.
