I'm pretty sure IJ had one just hooked up to the bottom rad hose but I think it was just to help out the system, not replace the existing mechanical pump.
Don't worry, everyone calls it the "bird cage" lol. If you just fill it to the "max" mark at cold it will still flash the low light when you're taking hard turns sometimes. I've got a couple tight roundabouts near my place that if I take all the way around for a U-turn it will usually come on...
Here's the figures I found for a stock 350Z:
2007 350Z Base Coupe 6MT 13.7 @ 104
I'd say with a good exhaust, some intercooler piping, and a manual boost controller that's pretty doable for keeping up in a straight line.
Yes, but you have to admit that if you do have it, it makes some things a hell of a lot easier. But yes, I too did survive without air tools and without many issues for the majority of my MK3 repairs. You just got to get yourself a "RIF" (resistance is futile!) tube to slip over your ratchet ;)
Has anyone ever had any experience with this sort of thing?

It looks like it's something that will only come out as good as your attention to detail and time you're willing...
Was looking around, think something like this would work?

Just curious (seeing as my heat shields are gone and have been for as long as I've owned the car), would a generic T3 blanket work? What sort of size would you look for wrapping the CT26?
What about the Matrix? I've started checking a few out for the wife and they're pretty decent cars. You could find one of the XRS models if you want a little more zip too, comes with the old Celica engine in that model.
Crank pully is 19mm.
Oil fill and drain plugs on the R154 transmission and differential are 24mm (just did that a few weeks ago). Socket is good for the diff and the drain plug on the tranny, but you'll need a wrench to get to the fill plug on the tranny if it's in the car. Much easier to...
If you'd want to do karting the only place that would be decent and still open would likely be TBC racing in Richmond. I can't think of another one that isn't weather dependent and/or governed to 30kph, lol. We could swarm Castle Fun Park and do mass mini golfing :icon_razz!
With a 3" turbo back exhaust you should be getting more pressure than that, you're losing it somewhere. My car has no trouble building in excess of 11psi, no mods to the turbo or boost controllers.
300mm/hg = 5.8 psi. That's a significant drop. I'd check for boost leaks regardless, tighten down all the intercooler piping to start seeing as it was taken off during the swap. What mods are on the car? Any codes?
I guess that's true. If the Friday Night Street Legals do get rained out will there likely be an alternative planned at all? Also, is admission in to the drags (and I know some will have prepaid for racing) covered in the sign up for PacNW?
