    CPS connector rewire

Doesn't look like those, but I took a look at their "CPS Female Connector 4 Pin" and in the description it said 090-II pins. Now I just gotta find a place that I can get some quicker than shipping from California :(

    CPS connector rewire

I picked up a female end CPS connector to replace my current one that just fell apart on me but I didn't realize it didn't come with pins. The old one is destroyed, what kind of pins do I need to fit in there? I tried taking it to a local parts store and they weren't much help. Are they...

Car not starting randomly? READ THIS (30 Amp Starter Relay Mod)

Basically what JJ is saying (and has been said in this thread multiple times, but no one bothers to read through 14 pages) is this is not a solution to the problem. This is a bandaid fix. You are still relying on the same circuit to trigger your new one, so if you lose enough voltage on that...

    ebay 7mgte rebuild kits

Don't need a bible on HG thicknesses, it's simple math :icon_razz. Stock = 1.3mm HG thickness to keep stock compression ratio= 1.3mm + thickness machined off block + thickness machined off head Here's how mine worked out to be.... 1.3mm (stock gasket) + 0.2mm (0.008" block machined) + 0.25mm...

I forgot, I'm having 4 wisdom teeth pulled and a bone graft done on my jaw a couple days before this....so yeah.....not likely gonna be there.

    Coolant leak by passenger foglight

Try checking for wetness under and behind the thermostat housing down by the power steering pump. I had a small leak from the hose there that collected in about the same area but definitely not as much as what you're seeing.

    fuel cut

You can check for a boost leak, but that sounds pretty close to normal behavior. Mine cuts closer to 11-12psi, but I can pull first and second no problem (unless it's an unusually cold day).

BIC DDP and test pipe questions

I know I'm getting bad mileage, I'm saying that. I'm saying I'm getting bad mileage and they're getting significantly worse, so something else is wrong on their cars. Never said my mileage was good, thus the...when everything is working good on my car I can get ~18mpg in city, easy 21+mpg if I...

I'll be a tentative for now, but hopefully I can make it. I'd be a little late likely too, I'm off @ 4:30.

Only way you'd be bending valves on the pistons is if you had REALLY big cams.

BIC DDP and test pipe questions

It's my DD and I haven't been able to pressurize the intake to find it. It doesn't leak under vacuum. Everything still runs fine, just running a bit rich and cutting early/boosting low.

Car shuddering under high boost, not making sense...

My car didn't show ANY lack of power @ 10 psi and it had a cracked head.

BIC DDP and test pipe questions

I'm driving with a boost leak right now and getting 16mpg ONLY IN CITY DRIVING. Full turbo back 3" with the BIC DDP and cat delete. Getting mileage that low means something else is happening. When everything is working good on my car I can get ~18mpg in city, easy 21+mpg if I do some highway...

    Top engine rebuild any tips?

Get a Toyota EGR cooling plate recirc gasket. The one in that kit looks like it's a cardboard type gasket and it needs (absolutely necessary!) to be a metal composite type. The cardboard one WILL burn out and it's a PITA to do after the engines already in the car. My vote would be for ARP...

    surface rust on spare block

When I had the head off in the car port, I coated the cylinder walls/deck/etc with a thin film of oil and then draped oil soaked rags over it just to be safe.

BIC DDP and test pipe questions

Did something happen to the O2 sensor when being pulled and put back in? Was the wiring and clips for the O2 making a good connection and not fried from hanging above a turbo/exhaust manifold with no heat shields on it? First thing I'd test with a noticeably large drop in fuel economy is the...
