Very nice...I love the color on it! There's a ton of nice cars in that thread. Take the time to look through it! Look at this clean example of the AE86...
And I don't know why but this just looks like it should be pulling out of the back of an army transport :icon_razz

If you don't mind (or prefer) loud, I had a BIC divorced downpipe -> 3" test pipe -> 3" version of the BIC Thunder exhaust with a Vibrant 3" in 5" can 4" out muffler and it was awesome. Such a nice sound, deep tone but still with some growl behind it. I got lots of complements on it actually...
Personally I'd say that has a blue tinge to it in the video, but that's just me. Blue would mean oil, and my guess if it's like that at idle would be either turbo or really bad rings. Have you done a compression test yet? I'll pull the downpipe off to see if you've got oil in it as well.
I see a civic in the results list, maybe I should come with the Celica and give it a run! :icon_razz
You've got a pic up on their forums too if you look for the pics of the Jan 8 event too :)
There's a few larger ones in my head rebuilding thread in my signature if you want to check them out. If you see one in specific that you really want a high res copy, PM me and I've got them all in 10MP.
Just clarifying ;)
You use the same pins to check for codes as you do for setting timing.

Regardless whether or not you have codes or not, your...
Can you tell whether it's gas or oil coming out in smoke? If it's gas you either have a problem with spark or injection (obviously), if it's oil, you've got other issues. Were the valve seals looked at or changed when you did the work?
There's also a version of the Previa with ABS that has 2 pot calipers, but it gives you very marginally more piston surface and isn't really worth it unless you need to replace your calipers anyway. Here's the thread on it, and make sure you read all the way to the end...there's some bad math...
Here's the shopping list if you want to do it all properly:
550cc injectors + clips (there are adapters, but most end up soldering and replacing)
Lexus AFM (blank casting works fine, the electronics from your existing will drop in)
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Fuel pump (Walbro...
I had one of the BIC DDP's on my car and in comparison with my buddy's car that just has the 3" downpipe, it was a much faster spool and better flow. A good 500rpm difference in making full boost and much less lag when stepping on the gas when already rolling. Both cars with a 57-trim CT26.
I'd get it hardness tested to see if the head has annealed. Granted, the exhaust ports are going to always be the worst, but not a bad idea to get the rest of it checked out. Last thing you want is cracks between the combustion chamber and coolant passages :(.
I wouldn't go for option 2, too many unknowns in a used engine. If you go with option 3, I'd still look towards finding a shell as cheap as possible (but still what you're looking for) and still rebuild. With the age of these cars, there's just too many potentially expensive issues to be...
Another vote for pulling the turbo, you'll probably spend just as much time and will likely have more problems if you don't. Personally if the extra OEM lines are in good condition I'd just use them.
I'd start with this. If it's getting thrown that much check and see if it's getting on your belts. Belts tend to throw leaks everywhere, especially with the clutch fan being right there as well. After the dye is in, check all the areas already mentioned with a UV light in hand and you should...
