30psi all around is where I typically had it on 225/40/18 Nexxen N3000's.
Another thing that people don't typically think of is tire pressure will vary with cool and warm weather. If you have the same amount of air in 90 degree weather vs. 50 degree weather, you are going to have different...
As suprra_girl pointed out, check your voltage on the starter signal wire (the small wire that clips in to the starter). Most starters need at least 9V on that line to trigger the starter, if you're getting any significant drop under 12V without it cranking you've got something going on in the...
You have to realize you're going to be buying in to a sports car that has likely been used and abused more than it's fair share over the last 20+ years of its life. Beyond that there are so many cars out there that once they did run in to problems they were not fixed properly. On top of that...
jetjock's pic should give you a good enough view there. The flange on 25601 bolts up to the intake manifold, rest should be easy enough to figure out from there.
Oddly enough my 2003 Celica has them in the exact same spot....still uncomfortable to shift properly :( At least they can hold a cup from 7-11 and I don't have to worry about the attack lid anymore though.
Check the voltage on the starter signal wire when trying to crank and it's not turning over. Most starters need at least 9V on that signal line to engage. When I was having my issues that line was only giving me 7.2V. From there you can work backwards and see at what point along the line you...
I know too tight and you risk having the valve stuck partially open. Not sure if too loose affects anything other than excessively loud valve train and over time possibly extra wear on the cams. I guess they wouldn't be opening as far though either so technically it wouldn't be flowing as much...
If I recall correctly, the Titan gaskets are custom Cometic gaskets rebranded. The Titan/Cometic gaskets will do the job just fine and out of the metal head gaskets are the most forgiving (50RA or better as opposed to 25RA or 15RA). The brand isn't going to change much in terms of "gasket...
You need a RIF bar :icon_razz
(Resistance Is Futile)
I used a breaker bar with a 6' section of pipe. Emergency brake + in gear held enough that that worked fine for me.
Can't do much more than echo what Cyrus already said. You need to have the head/block machined because the metal head gasket needs a much smoother surface (roughness average/RA value) to seal properly. Some metal head gaskets are more forgiving than others, but you're just asking for troubles...
This. It's like saying that any sort of engine noise means you've got rod knock and have to rebuild, just kind of ridiculous until you have some evidence.
Check all the coolant hoses, especially the ones around the exhaust manifold/turbo and the ones at the back of the head off the union...
How to compression test:

Fairly simple, and a compression tester doesn't typically cost too much if you don't have access to one through a friend :)
The Bosch valves are the best "stock replacement" valve you can get for cheap new. It doesn't have the bling factor but it's a solid option that you won't have to worry about cheap build quality like you do with a lot of the imitation/knock off BOVs out there. That's not to say you might find...
