    Ebay Full Silicone Hose Kit

AFAIK, it's a coolant hose kit. Available at Driftmotion. The eBay kit includes more stuff, like the PCV hoses, Bypass valve hoses, ISC hoses, and that drain hose from the valve cover to the block (Wait, that one looks like it's in the Gates hose set, too) all of the formed heater hoses, and...

Stick with the 7mgte or swap for 1jz?

Copper spray is a no. It is useful in the specific circumstance that you re re-using a metal head gasket. In that case, you clean it down to remove the sealant that the metal head gasket came with, and apply the copper spray to seal the layers together and to the block and head.

Stick with the 7mgte or swap for 1jz?

You need a dab of sealant for the front of the block when you do the head gasket. It's mentioned in the TSRM. Many people seem to think that a JZ swap is an "easy" cure-all for "all of the problems" that come with a 7M. There's no doubt that the JZ is an awesome block, and both the 1JZ and 2JZ...

    DIY Head gasket job possible?

Probably a bad VSV. Mine failed some years back. There is a Mercedes Benz part that works great. Took a quick look, but I can't find the part number. You can just bypass the VSV and run the line direct to the fitting. That's what I did when I needed heat, but then it doesn't turn off.

Someone with a 89+ MK3 answer me regarding rear marker light

Functional on '89+. I seem to recall that it looked the same as my '87T parts car for the marker lights. I know that it was deleted on the JDM cars though.

What color and whos car is this?

I like the 8M6, which I was looking at. I was also looking at the RSP to paint my car, but that first one is pretty much the colour that I had envisioned. I originally got the idea for blue when I had a colour issue with displaying images. The display swapped the RGB values to BGR, so a picture...

Power window switches keep failing, why?

Having had similar issues, I forsee some plumbing flux, solder and a torch in my window switches' futures.

Your thought's and opinions on what you see...

Even if you drain the coolant, there will always have some remaining. You can't get rid of it all, You'd have to tip the engine all around to get all of the little pools out (Kind of like you do when you pull the head off, but with the whole engine, block and all.

Your thought's and opinions on what you see...

Intake on #6 being dirty, my immediate thought is EGR. Also, this could be the cause of wet in #5 and #6 if somehow you are getting coolant into the EGR. No basis to back that up, but it's a thought that could bear investigation.

High Impedance vs Low Impedance injectors

Higher elevation is less absolute pressure. Side note, this is also the reason why people in coastal areas will hit FCO at ~10 PSI, whereas people in places like Calgary Alberta (~3500ft) will be able to run 12PSI boost on everything stock with no fuel cut. If your car normally runs high...

Is it possible to convert my88 mk3 coupe to a sports roof ?

Anything is possible with enough time and money. Whether it's WORTH the time and money... Well, that's another story. What I know was added: There is an additional pin in the doors to make the doors take some additional stresses. The bosses for those pins are present on hard-top cars, so there...

12:1 compression bad idea for boost?

AFAIK, a compression tester will let you know how good the rings are, but not really how large the combustion chamber is. I'd suggest that putting #1 piston at TDC/Compression and then filling the combustion chamber with oil would be a way that you could measure the size of the combustion...

looking to buy act, spec or comp clutches. any comments on any of them?

I have an ACT 6 puck stage 3 clutch. I was worried about the engagement, too, but the only time I've ever had it judder was when I was letting it out at ~600 RPM idle. (Stop 'n go traffic, and trying to see how low it could go.) At anything over 1,000 rpm, I've never had a problem. The only...

    D.I.Y Marlin Crawler bushing install

At step 4, there was nothing for me to remove, so it was skip directly to step 5. At that stage, I was careful not to get any more crap dropped into the transmission if I could avoid it. I couldn't avoid it all, but did manage some. Hopefully it will come out with a transmission fluid change...

High Impedance vs Low Impedance injectors

I've got a bolt-on 60-1 turbo, 550cc injectors, and Lexus AFM. No tuning device here either. I do have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and upgraded fuel pump, which I'd recommend, but that's it. You'll be able to use either low or high impedance injectors just fine. As I understand it...

A good 7mgte rebuild kit for bottom and top end power

Lol. I swapped in the 7M-GTE (finally)a couple years back. 2008, I think it was. Started looking into this so long ago, probably the longest turbo swap project in Supra history -- at least the longest that has ever actually been completed. :) Now I'm building another motor for it, and it's...

Dumb Question about Drift Motion soft line kit

This. So, for the adapter which you put on the block, it uses a crush washer as a gasket to ensure no leaks. The NPT thread on the other side just uses the teflon tape. Next time you take it apart for whatever reason, leave the fitting on the block so that you don't need a replacement crush washer.

    Weight reduction

Heh. Well, except that I'm not joking. The first weight reduction that I'm really going to worry about is from myself. If I were 30 lbs lighter, I'm sure that a lot of things in life would be more fun, including driving. After that initial 30 lbs, then I might start thinking about a couple...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Those hoses are on the list of things that I'll change whenever I'm in the area, or the engine is out. Though... Blowing out that hose behind the water neck was what allowed me to convince my wife that I should be allowed to swap in the 7M-GTE.

A good 7mgte rebuild kit for bottom and top end power

The Turbonetics that I have has a 4" intake. Relocating the PS resevoir wasn't an option, it was absolutely mandatory, but I am using the Lexus AFM with it. I have a 4" to 3.5" reducer on there, then a further reducer to the AFM size. I'd like to go speed density eventually though, if only to...
