From my experience, the cheap silicone vac. hoses like to pinch closed when a vacuum is applied.
I switched all mine back to rubber hoses when I figured this out with my other car.
Don't hate on B motors. K's are the shit but not really work the money to swap imo. Although if I could do it all over again, id just turbo the D16 single cam...
I've seen problems on Honda's where with OS valves the exhaust and intake valves actually interfered(hit) with each other. I've never paid close attention to the valves on a 7m other than stock and i've never stuck cams in with the head off to see how close the valves are.
Maybe your machinist...
Most recent..a friend came into town so we went to to local tavern...Yes that would be a jagerbomb (or yagabom for you guidos).
Im cheesing on the right and my gf has the devil eyes.
Poodles- Yea I missed the part about stock boost levels.
Most auto parts stores will carry the wires and plugs. I had to get my plugs from Advanced as they had them in stock.
You're supposed to crack them loose and then retorque to 72 one at a time in sequence. Don't take all the torque off of them or you might risk messing up the head gasket. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go steps but I don't think its necessary.
I have been for about 6000 miles at 11psi. I didnt resurface anything either. No problems yet. I did a retorque after about 5 heat cycles to 85ft/lbs and a few were a tad loose. I was also able to thread the studs in fine without using a tap, guess I was lucky :dunno: I had to grind the crap out...
