My guy is waiting on some material cost for the slide tube if the end user wants a pull style setup like i went, but the cnc adapter plate milled from 5/8 6061 he wanting 300.00 for the adapter and shipping out of canada, which isnt to much more than in the states.
I got my 2j from these guys ALN JDM Auto Motors, no problems and we even made the deal on the 4th of July. He happened to be in the office so a customer could pick an engine up since it was his only day off.
I ported my 2j head and helped 525gte port his 1j head, these heads might make good power, but both the intake and exhaust can use alot of work, especially around the bowl area and short side radius.
Thanks, its a blast to drive around. With the 8.8 and short tq arm/adjustable trailing arm suspension, the car has a good amount of antisquat. I had a set of injectors go bad on the Dyno, so some new ones are on there way. In a few weeks, Ill have more dyno time and be able to see just what...
I can find out about the adapter plate, I had a machinist friend of mine cnc that out for me, and we traded a sheetmetal intake for the adapter. I beefed the bellhousing a little as I heard it was prone to tearing under a good amount of tq, and I welded to the side of the tranny to fit up the...
Long shot. Plug the vaccum line to the booster, I've seen masters fail and leak internally and rot a hole in the diaphram. Bov is pre throttle body so it shouldn't affect idle, unless the diaphram cracked and its leakin there? Does the throttle body snap closed when you open it? It...
have you done a boost leak test? take it to like 25lbs and spray it all down with soapy water. And check the tps to make sure its in idle position. Maybe that the t/b isnt closing and is binding?
I just had to pull my header off from an exhuast leak at cylinder 5. I ended up haivng to weld up all the ports to get more of a gasket match. The problem is the 2j has a smaller circle port of 2/5 than the more oval ports on the rest. Number 5 was ported like ther rest so the header flange...
I like the sedan a little more than the wagons in the 7/9 series, but really like the 240 wagons, its just a total sleeper, the only give away are the Willwood brakes!
Yea, the style of shifting the T5's and T56's have. Its kinda notchy, but I like it. Gives me postiive feedback its in gear.
Yep, Exedy triple, engagement is rather smooth like stock (tho I worked pedal ratios out with slave and master combos too) and the engagement is about 5/8 of the pedal...
Well, prelim numbers are in. I need to head back for a real run. Since the start of the motor its been running goofy and would not idle less than a 13.0. Well, number 4 injector was taking a shite, and became evident on the third dyno pull when it went full open.
So with a map thats a bit...
I bought an Ebay header for my 2jz. When i bolted my turbo on, same problem. Options are to clock it way high over the intake tube, or like what i did, and what 525gte suggested, i weled on 2 additional 3/8 flanges to get the turbo high enough for the cold side housing to rotate down. Now...
Looks like the circuit you outlined, pretty much powers up all 12v stuff in the system. I wonder what happens if you put another fuse in, if it would blow right away.
