This topic is really loaded, because every person has got different goals for there car...For example some people are not a fan of the holset turbo because of the "on and off" switch power band; however for about $300-$400 a good used hx35 or hx40 will make the power and take 20psi all day long...
My dad, brother and I were discussing this topic the other night. My dad of course not really knowing the the import scene said" there is no way these engine will hold this much power for long, here today gone tomorrow." lol My brother owning a 88 turbo II 60-1, 3in exhaust, r-tech fuel..etc...
Have you checked your temp sensor? Other than that, try to regap your plugs to .26-.32 .. some have break ups at .30 but ran smooth as butter at .28 just try differnent gaps..
I found that my ECU was bad when i had my problems...what codes do you have?
Im trying to figure out my problem with idle, and rev....I can't seem to find the ohm readings for all the 1jz sensors...need that so i can test them one by one..thanks
Thanks, another problem i have is i don't have a tach signal...I bought a tach adapter wired it in and no tach... My tach wired stright in with no adapter dosen't do anything also, tach won't even move....help:aigo:

Yeah that white supra that he has is a beast...I went to that shop before, the whole crew was stoked when they saw my 4g63T turbo mightymax truck...the owner was also stoked when i told him that i was putting a 1jz in a 260z, of course he had the "yeah right" kind of questions he was asking...

I plan on going with a holset turbo down the road, cause nothing beats it reliability...for right now my ebay 62-1 i bought for my 1jz 260z swap will do me fine...
If you have the money for a name brand turbo then thats what you need to get...if you are short on cash and inpatient, like me...than then the risk( if there is one) is worth it...Plus I'm not buying at $300 turbo and expecting it to perform like a $800-$1000 turbo..I know it will spool a couple...
