Thats a typical sign of valve guides or valve stem seals being bad. Does it smoke at all first thing in the morning when you start it up?
Since the intake valve guides and seals are under vacuum while you are engine braking, it can suck oil through bad seals or worn guides and cause blueish...
I looked up the Walbro specs and at 50 PSI it can pull around 10 amps. I would be a little wary running that on all the stock wiring. I don't know what gauge the wiring is but I don't remember it being very big.
Cold start injector ONLY work during cranking, it just supplies a little extra bit of fuel to help start up. Once you let go of the key, the injector stops spraying. Idling rough after starting won't be an issue with the CSI.
Did any codes come back after you reset the ECU?
After you turn the...
Since you have 1 wire/connector pin for each pair of injectors, your pin/wire/connector only need to be able to flow enough to provide current for one pair of injectors (like you said 2.8-3.3 amps). I think that's exactly what you said but just wanted to verify. Are you talking about a connector...
Heres the problem, I have looked at probably every spark plug thread on this forum, and for every person that says one plug is great, there is another that says it sucks and or caused a misfire etc. Thats why I need to go with STOCK, something I KNOW should work flawlessly. Looks like what I am...
MaftPro piggyback for management, completely stock ignition besides 1 heat range colder than stock Iridium NGK's. Plug wires are very new NGK replacements. I have run Autolite Coppers and these plugs, both of them have a slight miss at idle and low loads, stock platinums did not. I just want to...
Thanks for the info guys, I had no idea the heat range number was in the part number of the NGK's. I am working on tracking a misfire down so I am trying to get my entire ignition system back to 100% stock so I can troubleshoot from there.
I am making about 375rwhp with my 7M at 16psi, If I...
I am looking for a plug identical to the OEM plug in every respect besides heat range. The plug needs to be one to two heat ranges colder for my setup. Does anyone know of any place I can find a chart displaying all the different NGK/Denso plugs with a comparison of all their specs? Seems like...
Dont really know what you mean by off idle hesitation, you mean it hesitates whenever you are not idling? Or just when you take off from an idle? You say it goes lean right when you press the accelerator, you tried turning up map enrich and tps enrich? No change?

EDIT: I got bored:icon_surp
Ive always noticed that 2nd gear is the hardest to get into on any vehicle I have driven. On my car you really have to yank it when at the track. It wont grind, but its "difficult" to engage it hard and fast, probably cause of what Nick mentioned- biggest speed change going into second. All...
Something else I don't really understand is the IGF signal I got. I thought IGF was a 5v signal, but I am showing less than 10MV on the IGF wire, though besides what looks like a lot of noise, the signal is what I would expect to see.
No it shouldn't be loose, the diaphragm cap should be crimped on there tight (I think its crimped). Pretty sure I have a stock regulator you can have for free, where in AZ are you?
This misfire has been driving me nuts for a while now. About a year and a half ago when I swapped in the 7mgte everything ran and idled great, this is when I had stock platinum plugs etc. I started to notice a very slight miss at idle after I swapped in some AutoLite copper plugs. The miss got...
Not sure what that's got to do with anything lol, but every 7M I have taken apart was showing copper on the upper half of the front main bearing right at that spot.
Physico got it pretty good, one thing to add though is that it is an emissions device. It helps reduce a high amount of HC's from entering the exhaust upon snapping the throttle closed.
Did you ever solve your misfire Kenny? I am experiencing something similar and would be nice to get a starting point. I have already ruled out mechanical as the compression test passed. Low load= pretty bad misfire. Any kind of throttle or load and there's no misfire, but idle or 2500rpm in...
