89 still had square mounts, mounts changed later. Anyway, yes, you can use the TT 2J mounts on the later round mount cars, just have to cut a nipple off the mount. If you have round mounts you don't mess with the brackets.

The later mounts can be replaced with MKIV mounts which are very strong.

ONLY the dual VVTi version of the beams motor had titanium valves. It's also a freak and runs 11.5:1 compression and is an interferance motor. Erosion of the seat has nothing to do with the valves either...
