Yah that sounds about right.
Is the reguator internal in the alternator or external in these cars??
Also just check the voltage at the alterntor with a multimeter..the cigarette light seems like a lot of work for nil..:sarcasm:

Pre 89 used the same injector impedance as the turbo's(all years) can't remeber high or low.
I got most the stuff for my 86.5 from when I went NA-T, if you need something I may be able to help, but can't really answer your questions sorry.
You want the NA stud!! You don't have to change anything. The Canton adapter is the best for us IMO,(I did the NA-T) It is the the GTE guys that have to remove there stud and put the GE stud in! Unless your want stock GTE oil system(It is garbage, not a opinion, FACT) Go full flow thermostat...
