OK, I am back now. Sorry for the long delay (dont really care to explain)...... At this moment, there really hasn't been any progress being that I have been away (for lack of better terms) except for the CBR coils came the other day and the two mufflers arived today. At this moment, most...

    swapping ct26 exhaust housings

Not sure what you are refering to about "seal bore" unless you are just refering to the contact area between the bearing housing and turbine housing and if that is the case, yes they are the same... As for as I know, toyota only has 1 bearing housing for the CT26 and 2 or 3 different turbine...

    facelift or pre-facelift Xmember?

It is diffinitly the post facelift (later subframe) for the 89 that you have . The dead give away is the slot next to the mount stud slot. The early subs do not have that slot. The other thing is if you have an angle finder, the early subs have the mount platform at roughty 45 deg. from...

    sway bars and endlinks

Upgrade based on strength, Yes.. Based on being adjustable, No, unless you plan on putting the car on the track. Adjustable endlinks only allow you to zero out preload on the bar with the driver in the car. For everyday street use, you will never know the differance, plus anything put into...

    sway bars and endlinks

I had the stock end links on with my ST bars. Fit fine. One problem that does tend to arise with an upgrades rear bars is the tabs that are welded to the lower arm that the sway bar end link attaches to breaks. I made new ones out of 1/4" material after breaking one of mine. No problems from...

    Front spindle with out ABS

Hard mounting vs. floating will not make any differance. In reality, floating is better. This is why most any professional race car be it F1, GT catagories, INDY, ect... use floating disk's do to caliper being hard mounted. As for flex, have you ever measured the flex of the stock cast iron...

    Front spindle with out ABS

Not exactly, ABS systems operate based on deceleration rates, not wheel lockup as many beleave. A properly functioning ABS system will activate and take control before lockup accures. The reason for this is that is some situations, a split second of lockup can be to late. This is all the reason...

    Master, Slave, Clutch Or Tranny??

My first guess would be pedal push-rod adjustment. My second guess would be the master cylinder also. You dont have to have a leak to have a bad master cylinder. An internal bypass within the MC will cause that problem. The MC piston has a series of holes drilled through it and there is a...

    Cleaning stock fuel tank

I have always filled tanks as much as possible with water and then purged the rest of the volume not filled by water with argon. I have never had a tank flash or explode on me.

    Learning to weld

JJ, the part about the bench top blast cab, that is exactly what we did about 3 months ago specifically for welding some small Ti parts. It works great. We are getting ready build a large walk in ARG. chamber for a job that is comming up (some kind of frame work made from Ti).

    Learning to weld

I use a Miller Elite series auto-darkening hood and do weld pretty much all day, 5 1/2 days a week. In my typical 55hr work week, I'd be willing to bet that I spend between 35 to 40 of those hours under the hood with an arc going and I have never had flash burn from it. On the topic of...

ct-26 exhaust- what is the A/R?

    Here, quoted directly from Garrett.

ct-26 exhaust- what is the A/R?

Yeah, but dont both measurements have to be taken from the same spot (i.e, the radius is from the center line of the turbo to the center point of where the cross section are was taken.)? If they were taken from different spots, thier ratio would be different.

    Oil Pressure

If my thinking is correct, you are asking is you can basically intermix senders and gauges, correct? If that is what you are asking, then the answer is no. So operate or function differently then others for one, and others that operate on the same principle have different calibration scales.....

ct-26 exhaust- what is the A/R?

Right idea, but wrong location in that picture. The area is measures once in the scroll, no at the inlet... It is also measures in at the same location as where the radius is being measured or better stated as the cross section area is where the radius line is.
