yep thats what I thought, I didn't think these motors were temperamental with oil pickup clearances..
thanks guys, looks like I'll be fine. just watch my oil psi..
my pan appears to be slightly dented from transport and my mechanic said he thought the pickup in the 1J was high enough for the motor to be unaffected, unlike say an SR where its certain death in most cases.
advise?
I read it back then, and I have yet to see technical charts or tables.. however, based on what he found I agree.
But until someone tests it or posts actual proof I'm not going to say one head is better than another. Also, theres the velocity factor.
In any case, both heads arent THAT far off...
you missed the point of my reply completely. there's usually a reason why someone would bold part of a post, just an idea..
i'm not going to spell it out for you, but anyone will a 1.5J or a 1J should know what I was getting at.
I dont think alot of ppl know to be honest rob.. and the fact that most of the time theyre more expensive straight from denso, rather than a rebranded version (I.e. SARD) is all the more comical.
yeah the supposed rumor was that after maxing out the whole daughter board thing they tried without I guess, but theres no word after that point.. probably figured it out and decided to just keep it amongst them, cant blame them, I'd probably do the same. its about respect IMO..
you would have to be pretty pathetic to make knock off turbo A badges, at least back when they were still being made.
at this point I could see how it would make sense. or wait, if it deals with a 7m usual logic doesnt come into play lmao j/k j/k
on ebay they had the whole molding set for $120, it was on there for weeks.. I laughed everytime I saw it thinking of all the ppl on here that weren't buying it.
sad.
