You should choose the MHG thickness based on the amount you'll be shaving off when the head is resurfaced. You take the total gap and add the mhg thickness to be no greater than/less than a certain amount. Those figures you'll have to look up in...

I got my motor with a 3 year warranty from Jasper. I had a lot of bolt ons and the motor started making knock. I sent it back, and they exchanged w/o any issues. I still have the 2nd motor, and she purrs like a kitten. Once the warranty wore off, I did a MHG on it.

Dropping in a used 7m might be the easiest solution. I bought a crate motor for about 2k which could be a good move...it comes with a 3 year warranty. About 500 to 1k to install...call it good and drive it IMO.

I get nervous when I'm doing something I havn't researched extensively...which is why I do my research before I install/modify a setup. For example...I'm installing Meth in the spring...but only after CajunKenny and others get theirs running well...so I can pirate their information/setup :)
Yeah...I think all mk3 owners with a 7m should always have a backup motor in the garage that they are building...I'm strongly thinking of doing this myself soon hahaha
Yup, you have to slow down to corner...no matter what the setup...easiest remedy is put front brakes to 7 and rears to 3 and taht will get the rear around for ya
