add some boost to my 4.0L and we can call it 8.0L and it will still be lighter then that 3.0L I-6 anchor weight..... ;)
Not to mention far lighter then any 8.0L out there....
Yeah it should.. and in all actuallity, if the coil was bad, you would drop both cylinders on that coil, not just one of them... Even if the coil was very weak, the light should still pick up when hooked to the wire...
Does the engine seem to break up under heavy power loads?
The coil...
I was just saying that even if the coil was weak, it would still pick up with the light... I would suspect a dead coil not a weak one.... Just to dubble check that it is the coil, try swaping the coil itself with one of the other two that you know work and see if the problem follows the coil or...
Unless you have a total crap light, I would suspect that its not firing the 1 & 6 coil pack. If the light wont pick it up, then the coil is not firing most likely, unless the light is total crap and is not sensitive enough to pick up the magnetic field (which I find hard to believe... Inductive...
I had a feeling you were gonna say something like that......
Its cause of the way that you are looking at it.... Pin numbers locations are numbers as if your looking at the plug side not the wire side of the plug... When looking at the plug from the plug side, your read the number from left...
Wait, I just went and looked at the TSRM, TEWD, and the PDF file in the other thread and they are all the same (pinout wise) unless I over looked something...
What are you saying is different????
The TSRM on cygnusx website is for a 90 and the TEWD is for an 89.... If you car is an 89 then the TEWD should be the correct one...
89 was a screwy year... Most people only think in the terms of yellow and gray plugs but there is more to it then just color.. 89 had gray plugs but in the...
You would still be hard pressed even on a large course... Sebring is a large course. Dont get me wrong, I love my supra and it was a great track car at one time and will be again, but the miata still has many favorable aspect over a supra when build a track car and having put a miata that I...
If you want a track car... Miata all day long is my vote. I love the supra, but it will never contend with a well setup miata on the track.
The best miata setup is early 1.6 car < 93 with the 94/95 1.8 motor or even a later engine if you work around the OBD II setup using the OBD I EMS...
Oh and I have heard countless times people say that they or someone wired something up perfect and and yet is was far from perfect to say the least...
Did you'll do a flatline votage test on the output to the ECU to make sure the voltage at the ECU was correct?
If your manifold is getting that hot while cruising, your timing is most likely off... A lot of people dont seem to understand that when everything is set correctly, 14.7:1 AFR will give the highest EGT's leaner or richer then this will lower the EGT's if the timing is correct. This has been...
There is not temp warning light.. The light next to the temp gauge is a overflow bottle level light.. It lights if the coolent level in the bottle gets to low... first thing to do is check the bottle when it comes on and see if it is low if it isn't, then its a problem with the sensor inside or...
Dustin, you probably wont see me get on it for a while either.. Im still having that knock issue that I was telling you about and until I have some extra cash to throw it on a dyno for an hour or so to tune it (mainly ign. side of things), its gonna be kinda pussy-footed around... It doesn't...
First thing I would do is take the WB sensor out of the exhaust and redo the heater cal and free air cal.... Then see what your getting... The other thing is did you mess with any of the out put programing of the LC-1 (assuming that is what you have)?
I would go into it with LM Programmer and...
I agree with cuel about the ignition switch. Mine did this from time to time and I traced it back to the switch... Every once in a while (usually about once or twice a month) it would act just like i shut the key off instead of going to the start position. Usually if I backed off of it and then...
No TRD package for the early UZ's but there are ones for the later engines. There are aftermarket setups on the market too. They are really just manifold and designed for use with a Eaton M90 and car also be used with a M112 with a different top plate... There is also a member of the lexus...
Yeah, its starting to become a pretty popular thing cause the engines are dirt cheap, pretty easy to swap, are noticably lighter then a 7M and stock, make more power and torque then a stock 7M-GTE... They are reliable as a rock too... To add to this, with about 7 or 8 PSI, they'll get you 400hp...
