Yep, I pick up a lot of games on sale on steam for cheap. The only games I've paid full price for have been SC2, WoW (and it's expansions), and the Battlefield series (BF2, BF2142, BF BC2, etc).
Keep thinking that...
That's the reason the rev limiter is there, no it won't cause rod knock.
Also, thanks for bumping a thread that's over a year old :p
Read the thread, the solution to your issues was already posted.
Plus the remark about only being oil cooled is a bit pointless as there are tons of turbos that are oil cooled only, it's not the turbo's fault.
Not to be a pain, but WHY!?!? The ecotech is arguably one of the most durable 4 bangers I can think of, and loves boost. If I was going to engine swap a Solstice or Sky, I'd drop an LSx engine in.
Correct, that bar in front in the pic bolted in where the front targa holders went and then you drilled into the floor to bolt in the lower plates. Wasn't a fan for both reasons :p
The back bar in the pic I don't remember exactly how it mounted. I don't think it was for the front though...
You'll get used to it. I can drive my car like any other manual (keep myself on hills with clutch and gas, etc). Was always fun having someone else drive it though, they always stall it out :p
Depends on the size of the leak and where it's located. On a donut gasket, you're getting all the exhaust pulses, on the EGR you're only getting one. Sounds different because of it.
Definately the wrong belt if you have the tensioner maxed. Still don't think it explains your issues as even if the belt was thrown off the engine would run on the battery alone.
It's also not a serpentine belt (serpentine means one belt snaked around to drive all accessories), but that's...
The belts move a lot at high RPM, most people don't notice because they're not reving their engine that high while under the hood. It also doesn't explain your issues.
