How about a new legacy, or mazdaspeed6. Both are somewhat sporty sedans without being over the top. Both are turbocharged and awd. Even a normal mazda6 isn't bad in my opinion.

Weight is the big issue right now, I believe the system may add a couple hundred pounds to a vehicle, making it great for large luxery vehicles, but not much else. It will be a while before it comes out for any normally priced vehicle, and probably longer for aftermarket.

^ I agree with you on everything above, including buying one if I hit the lottery, but you do have to come to a stop to put it in high speed mode. They also suggest you check tires and tire pressure, basically do a walk around. Going 250+ is no joke, they had to make specific tires for the car...
