There are two threaded M8 holes in the steering wheel hub frame which you can thread a couple bolts into. I just found a scrap piece of steel bar, around 1" wide and 1/4" thick, drilled a couple loose clearance holes with the same spacing as the steering wheel hub, and threaded the bolts through...
If you combined methanol injection with some alterations to your timing, you could pick up some power. Methanol injection alone won't do much aside from steam cleaning the combustion chambers. If you ran a piggyback that could alter the timing curves of the motor at the same time it triggered...
Are you SURE it doesn't have any rust? I'd be shocked if you actually found a 23 year old Supra from the Northeast that didn't. Totally shocked. You need to remove the rear bumper and really poke around in the rear fender wells to see for sure. Now is the time to fix anything you find, as it is...
Yes... Flywheel Horsepower :) And that 400hp is based on a similar build seen at THIS LINK . After a custom intake manifold, ITB's, some equal length headers, and high compression, I expect to do considerably better. My main goal for the 302 is 400hp at the rear wheels. Once that is accomplished...
A brief little update:
Still doing rust repair work in the rear quarters, but the plans for the drivetrain are still being tweaked. I have a 302 shortblock which needs to get torn down and sent out for some cleaning and a hone. I've changed the expectations for "Stage 1" a bit, especially...
I have considered using this "oppertunity" to reshape the arches with a bit of flare, but decided against it. One thing that is going to be nice is that I am eliminating the inside "L" lip which typically hinders a tight fit with the wheel/tire combo. I'm also cutting the flare in the arch...
Fabricating patch panels is all fine and dandy until you come to a compound curve, then all hell breaks loose. I'm doing the PS fender well area right now, and can only manage to fabricate decent panels in small areas. I tried at first to tackle a larger area, but I was just going in circles...
There is no supplier for any patch panels on the MK3. I'm right in the middle of rebuilding both wheel wells and arches on my car at the moment. It is painstaking work, but necessary if you want to keep your car any longer than a couple seasons. Up here in the Northeast, we don't have the option...
What did you use for replacement arches? Did you fabricate from scratch or did you find another car with similar arches and use those? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do the same thing on my car.

I think you are dealing with excessively low oil pressure as a result of the oil cooler line mixup. I've never heard of 5psi at idle being a sign of anything other than bad bearings. I'd say your mishap early on trashed some bearings, and you're looking at replacing most likely both rod and...
If Maine had its own Supra club, I think the membership would be rather pathetic.
Strength in numbers and all that...
Build thread is coming. I'm doing lots of de-rusting at the moment which is about as fun to talk about as it is to do. Once I can document something interesting, I'll get...
Supra owner here in Portland, Maine.
'87 N/A Auto in restoration mode currently. The rust repair necessity on my ride is rather ominous, but forward progress is steady. I'm currently assembling parts for a turbo conversion, but the auto trans is staying right were it is...hello SupraStick...
Great build and documentation so far. I'm headed down this road in the spring and its great to see what exactly I'll be getting into. Have you decided on what fuel management strategy you're going with? GTE electronics and a piggyback?

Thanks for posting this link. Interesting read. Sounds like it was just a tuning issue that should have been resolved on a Dyno. I've been reading, and many people love this piggyback computer and have no issues. Maybe it is because they aren't getting as in-depth with their analysis of AFR's...
Can you comment on these two points highlighted bold? I'm about to start building my first 7M-GTE after debating a V8 engine swap and deciding to go with the stock straight 6. Just curious why he/you consider the 7M unreliable, and how the MAFT Pro factors into this.
Thanks for humoring a...
At this stage, leaving anything "stock looking" is going to turn into a hopeless endeavour. Having an exterior like that would only lead to a "let down" when you pop the hood to show people. Whether you like it or not, your car needs to be "all bling"
I like it!

Chances are you'll just make the engine run worse with that setup. Larger intake components are dicy. You can reduce restrictions to the stock components to help it breathe a little better, but there is a point where the progress is negative. N/A really relies on intake velocity to provide...
How was the wide body done exactly? Did they actually chop the fenders to make a giant cavity, or just slap the overfenders with a stock wheel well lip? If you had the wheels and tires to match (and the HP to back it up), I see nothing but awesome with this setup....
thought about doing it...
