You'd be surprised how many MKIII's are lurking in the monmouth/ocean county area. I can probably list a dozen or so. Just that not many are daily drivers, so they just tend to sit in driveways or garages.
Can any one tell me what the pin out for the HKS TT harness is. I need to know what each of the 10 wires in the jumper section do. Such as Constant 12v, Ign1, Ign2, Acc1, Acc2, Starter and any other that may be in the connector. Thanks for any help.
Easy with the comments my ass! This is a Supra site and some one that posts stupid comments comparing Supras to Civics should expect to get flamed. Even the title is stupid. There are very few cars that "hook" stock. They don't build them for that from the factory. You can get any vehicle to...
IJ, if your still following this can you confirm that on a properly functioning PCV system when you loosen the oil cap while idling your idle should stumble a bit right? If I disconnect the vaccum line going from the top vent ports to the throttle body it does, but if I remove the oil cap...
I'm having this same problem now . The oil pump shaft seal keeps pushing out. I think I've narrowed it down to a problem in my PCV system.
Can anybody confirm this, when you remove the oil cap while idling on a properly functionig PCV system, Your idle should stumble a bit right?
I've never seen a "streetable" nine second honda. Driving there and driving home does not qualify it as streetable. just this week at E-town there had to be a dozen hondas, mostly bubbble backs struggling to get down to the twelves a couple made it into the elvevens. Most if not all of these...
whats the proper way to perform a leak down test? alist of tools needed would be great as I'm going to have to do this myself. my local internals expert isn't going to be available this weekend.
Yeah Rich, your car sure does leave in a hurry. I'm gonna pickup that TC from you as soon as I can figure out why my oil drive shaft seal keeps pushing out.
Ok at about miles 77,000 I replaced just about all of the seals on my engine. then at about 81,000 it devoleped a bad leak at the front end. pulling off the timing covers revealed that the oil pump shaft seal had pushed out. this was the seal that came with the toyota gasket set just installed...
My boost is somewhere over 8lbs, still stock guages. I would guess that is where my hp might be at because the car traps at 97mph which is about where my old LT1 camaro was at 275hp.
Hey Rich what do you make of the different AR's on those two turbo's ?
I would have thought that the higher...
Last night my wife and I were out in the Supra, just going otu to dinner. We were rolling down rte 37 here in toms river when we got buzzed by a couple of Evo's and a WRX.
It was cool except for the one Evo that pulled along side off me and kept blipping his throttle and popping his BOV.
Now...
Look for rust. Or preferably a lack thereof. since your in jersey stop by here and I'll let you take a look at my parts car so you can see up close what to look out for.If you do get a targa make sure to take the top off and if you can pull back the seals. This is a common place for rust. BHG's...
