The setup defeats the purpose of a PCV system. The purpose of a PCV is to actively purge (and burn) the crankcase of blowby gases.
The GTE PCV system flows different ways under vacuum and boost.
In this case, under boost, the gases will escape under the hood (and under boost there is much more...
The two wires that are the same are the heater circuit, the other one is the signal.
It doesent matter if the heater wires are backwards, it works the same either way.
The ones out now, are reminiscent of a flip flopped accord. (powertrain wise)
Still a kick-ass car, they were the first with the infamous V-tec. EDIT (in america)
The small metal tube was the signal line to open the BOV. It comes from the vacuum line on the right in PIC 2.
I dont understand what your saying about the trans.
Pic 1. Mount the map sensor on the firewall. The vacuum line originally came from the vacuum filter, in the upper center of your pic.
Pic 2. That was for the heater valve. The one that comes from under the DIAG block is the EVAP purge line.
Pic 3. Yep, they are kinda short. One option is to...
Attempting to clean a Karman Vortex AFM, is a common mistake and always results in a sensor that is no longer functional. You can remove the electronics and clean the housing, but dont let any products get on the sensor itself.
What emissions components are you thinking about removing? And what...
The sensor on the rear of the transmission, on the left (drivers side in US), is the speed sensor. Which accounts for the lack of cruse and ABS.
The reverse switch is on the other side (right side) about in the middle of the trans.
The wires from both of these need to be wired to the engine...
If you have to ask, you have never done it, its going to be a bitch.
Taking them off is ok, but i swear the first time I tried to put one back on, the oil lines alone took a couple hrs.
There is always going to be a choice between the cheap way and a good way to do things. Using a threaded rod is definitely the cheap way.
Hell the repair kit is only 70 bucks.
