The gate should be fairly stiff. If you have an aircompressor and regulator then you can see the cracking pressure of it. Thats the best way IMO.

Use some assembly lube as well. I like "Lubriplate" But IJ's advice is spot on.

The wastegate opens to limit boost. So if your waste gate isn't opening your boost will rise. But you knew that;)

I hope that bearing noise isn't (ball bearings in a coffe can). Get a wide band man before something breaks. Plus a GTE regulator, the epc does show that there different. Keep us updated, I'm curious my NA-T went last time at the track. Had GTE everthing.

Do you mean no CEL, or did you actually check for codes. 2 knock sensors wont make a difference if your one is wired (correctly, NA-T, correctly)

If your going through starts frequently, ensure your wiring is good to your starter motor. Too much resistance, equals less voltage for the motor, equals more amps it pulls. Equals more heat, shorter life.

Tell me you have a wideband. Also check our codes. How did you do you knock sensors?
