HELLO Supramaniacs !! MY BUILD THREAD! (Boost inside aka I really wanted a Mk3)

I vote to lock this thread immediately :-) I can foresee this non-traditional swap being a success, thus, placing higher demand on the dwindling supplies of R154's. Lock it now so that no additional valuable information is contributed and notifying the world of this cost effective option - LOL.

    Fuel Filter woes with *PICS*

FYI, that particular tube is rather inexpensive. see - http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291420/Parts/77251B.aspx The basic rules of part swapping applies; if ya gotta replace it, why not upgrade?

    6 puck clutches vs. others

What brand / model 6-puck clutch are you using? Typically they are great to handle the engine power that majority of the community achieves, but really SUCKS for longevity and durability.

    Will it make 700?

The 720cc inj gonna limit you to ~650whp. Beyond this and you'll begin cycling the inj above 80% duty cycle, unless you increase static / base FP - which then violates logic of having a reasonable safety factor. Furthermore, as Slow' indicates, the turbo is the more significant limiting factor...

OEM pulley not good for big HP :( ... sad news

I retract the portion about the constant nature of the load resistance (busy thinking / typing during lunch). The load on the crank does vary, it varies according to the rate of increase in RPM. However, there is a specific load on the the pulley for a (lets say) 300hp at 3000rpm, and at...

OEM pulley not good for big HP :( ... sad news

I'm still perplexed why the 7M's crank pulley is HP limited, and I'm not accepting ATI's marketing. The only load or resistance on the pulley are those from the accessories; water pump + fan, alt, power steering, etc.. That load isn't changing, nor does it increase with HP. Rather, it's...

Help me decide: Zeitronix vs. Innovate/prosport

Grassroots Motorsports Mag' had a W/B comparo article and they nominated the Zeitronix for "better option" from the low cost tier options, but in terms of overall effectivity and useability and what majority of "big time" tunere use, the Innovative wins hands down.

    4th pictures

Yea, Amateurish... Why would one want to shift into third while performing a burnout? No wonder the car was drifting. :aigo: Once you can make the car remain still while lighting the tires on fire, then you would have them mastered the skill of performing a burnout. Until then, please...

    17x10" wheels +5 offset

Place an appropriately size tire to match that rim width, and the "low rider" effect will be more obvious / pronounced. That wheel width / offset isn't compatible and doesn't fit - period. To me it's A$$ F'king ugly - my opinion of course. You may adore it, so eh, "beauty is in the eyes of...

Tryin to get rid of hoses

The ports that you have the stainless steel hose going to are the ones you should really consider capping off ;). The other ones are for engine idleing (2), and the PCV (3) system. The stainless steel hose goes to the coolant passages for the TB and ISC

am i just being picky about my water pump

Buddy of mine had repeated overheating problem, which seemed impossible to determine cause and solution. After many attempts at resolution, a simple switch of aftermarket to Toyota pump was like magic, voila, problem disappeared.

    AVC-R solenoid problems...

Only contribution I have is to note that you may have overlooked switching the settings from Actuator type (internal W/G) to External Wastegate.

    BIG turbos make everything easier!

^^^^ Eager to see the dyno sheets. Would like to compare my dyno hp #'s against a another 7m with same turbo. :) I've seen MkIV sheets, and they aren't close to the curves I generated.

My input on changing your fuel filter...

Now go cut that puppy apart, snap some pic's and post, so that we can finally decide whether changing the filter periodically should be a maintenance item.

    Valve Removal Tool

Darn Brian, I can understand the cost for that unit; box tubing with welded gussets. I suppose it meant for "superlarge" & "superstiff" valve springs :biglaugh: For a less expensive version, here is the one I have and have used several occasions -...

Need some advice on mounting locations for this Aeromotive fuel pump

First cautionary note excerpt from the pump installation instruction: "Note: Failure to mount the pump lower than and close to the fuel tank may cause the pump to run dry, resulting in extreme pump wear! Make sure the pump is located lower than and as close as possible to the fuel tank, so...
