nice. i got an hks manifold-3000 pipe and garrett turbo in trade, but the damn manifold is cracked. :( i guess i could get a t4 manifold but i'm just going to install a bullseye power turbo and use the rest of my parts.
why not a 15x8 rear? also the stock tires are 24.9.
there's a few members on here running that kind of setup. i'm interested in the answers as well. :)
that size will stick out 3/4" farther than what i have. you will definitely have to roll, and probably pull the fenders. that is unless you put a narrow tire on there.
you're not the only one. the higher positive the number, the more it sits in. for example...... 18x9.5 +35 will sit in farther than 18x9.5 +20. the +20 will be 15mm closer to the fender. i've been trying forever to find the perfect wheel size to fit the most tire under the car. i think...
if my math is correct, i think you're going to need one hell of a roll and pull in the back. the backspacing is almost stock, but the wheel is 3-4 inches further out. my rears are 18x9.5 +20, with 275-35's, and i had to roll the fenders. i still rub a bit on big bumps and hard corners.
for those who would pull the 7m because it can't be made pretty................ have you seen duane's supra, or the one from down under?

there's a reason for that. for years they got a bad rap, which made people stay away from them. now that the truth is out there, you will see a lot more like his. also, there is way more aftermarket support for the jz motors, but that is changing too.
picked up some new wheels and tires, :). i also got one step closer to either trading my car for the red 87, or just throwing the spare engine in my car.
the 7m isn't a bad engine. all the headgasket failures are due to the headbolts being under torqued. this isn't a problem if you are rebuilding the engine now.
