So, I'm working on joining the Holset Mafia... (Holset HX35)

I have also been trying to find information on how to get a non gated housing for a Holset. I think these will fit your turbo. www.htturbo.com/thnew.htm

bad u-joint (non-replaceable type), what now?

Why do you say that they are not replaceable? You just need the right tools to do the job correctly. This looks allot like the tool i am used to using. That and a good vice and your golden. http://www.mile-x.com/tiger-tool-10103-universal-joint-puller.aspx EDIT. Are there two different styles...

7m exhaust studs need all the help they can get. If you think your car is fine without them, your itching to learn a lesson the hard way. Lets just say they're recommended.

    easiest way to pull engine?

A few things haven't been covered yet that i think are important, Unplug the engine harness from the ECU area and lay the harness on the engine while pulling. Do not attempt to leave the harness in the car. Unbolt the AC compressor, and leave it in the bay. No need to open the system. Same...

Help !!! R154 leaking out of the shifter boot.

So your saying you dont have the gasket in the picture? The trouble is that that gasket is used with the shifter housing, and there are spacers so that gasket gets compressed just enough. With your current setup, can the housing be spaced up a few mm? I wonder what the SC300 shifter extension uses.

    Few question during 1JZ swap

    1. The stock turbo soft line. 2. The R154 uses a hard line and a soft line. The soft line bridges the gap between the body and transmission. 3. Dont know 4. There is info about a camry throttle cable that works better. But i have not tried it, so im not sure exactly which one. A search pulls up...

    Holset HX35

In the link above, all the housings are for "H1, HX model Holset turbos" So they will fit anything Hx? The housings are available in 16cm 14cm and 12cm housings. Does that convert to a/r? Are there any ways of knowing the spool characteristics of the different housings on a 2.5l engine?

    Need help deleting the ABS?

The only way thats possible is to brake, without locking up the wheels. But then the abs would have never been activated anyways. If the abs activates, you have already lost control. If your so good at braking without locking up any wheels, it shouldn't matter if the ABS is there or not. So why...

    Harness swap necessary?

Your making a simple tranny swap way more complicated than it needs to be. Yes, the body and engine harnesses are different from auto to manual. Why do you feel that using an automatic harness, is not reliable on a manual car. The only unreliable factor, would be the quality of the work...
