Any chance someone would be kind enough to post some good pictures of the vacuum lines running around the intake manifold on a 91 7M-GTE? I have found numerous pictures of the lines on the bottom side but nothing really on the top side and then showing where the lines snake around the manifold...
Any chance you can take some close up pictures of the fuel pressure regulator and how it mounts and where the lines go to and come from? I just got my setup about an hour ago, so I haven't had a chance to tinker with it, but some reference pictures would be nice.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought it was the electronics portion that I want installed in my car. Is the housing not the same as what came in the Supras and it is the electronics that read more accurately?
One last question. Any particular V8 Lexus AFM I should get? I work for an auto parts store so I'll just get one through work, but has anyone had better luck with one over the other?
My only other performance mod is 3 inch exhaust. I have upgraded the valve train to Brian crowers plus cp pistons, eagle rods, and the drift motion oil pump. The only reason I was thinking of doing the larger injectors is because of the larger cams, but if everyone is saying the 550 cc injectors...
I have a 91 MK3 with the 7M-GTE motor. I have upgraded the turbo to the driftmotion 57 trim and I have stage 2 BC cams but those are the two most extreme upgrades I have done to this motor power wise. I am wondering if for TEMPORARY USE ONLY if I can run a Lexus AFM and something like 660cc...
The two that supraguy listed are the only two I have been able to find that have some connectors for sale. There is www.newunitedracetech.com that offers some, but I have not bought anything from them.
They have to be replaced now because I have torn the outer one up trying to get it out. What makes me nervous is how soft they are. Especially since I read that hot tanking the block for engine machining damages the bearings.
I am in the middle of rebuilding my 91 7M motor and I am wanting to replace the oil pump drive shaft bearings and I am wondering if anyone has done this before and what kind of a tool did you use to remove/install the bearings?
I saw RonnieK on some of the threads I stumbled across, but you cant pm him. Is he still on the forum? I didnt want to do factory replacement bushings since I plan on racing the car at some point. Is there any harm in going to solid aluminum bushings? Will it cause the subframe to crack or...
Does anyone know where to find front subframe bushings? If it makes a difference I have a 91. I have looked all over the place and I cant seem to find a single vendor for front bushings.
Has anyone sent in their oil pump retention plate to Beech Performance to have it ball milled? Is this $60 modification really necessary on a higher horsepower motor or not really? Any thoughts?
This question is for those that have upgraded their fuel pump. When you did so, did you just put in a new pump and add in an AFPR, or did you have to make other modifications to the system such as wiring? I am also wondering if it is possible to eliminate the fuel pump resistor in the system or...
So I am rebuilding my motor from the ground up and I am at the point of needing to torque the oil squirter banjo bolts. I have looked on here briefly, in my Haynes manual, and on the TSRM online. I can not find the torque spec. Does anyone know what it is supposed to be?
Megasquirt 3 seems to be the best option for my application. I have done a decent amount of research on both the Megasquirt system and the AEM V2 and the MS3 does the same thing the AEM standalone does for about $600 less. For what it is worth, I am running a forged bottom end 7M, BC stage 2...
I have a 91 and when the stupid PPS is operating like it should, the steering is terrific and I believe it is the original rack in the car. When the PPS goes out however, it makes me wish I had a manual rack because power assisted steering with out the power assist is worse than manual steering...
