I have pretty new wire and plugs. Yesterday i washed my car and by mistake water got all in my plugs and the car ran like sh*t i got all the water out and it idles fine and runs strong until about 4500rpm or so and at WOT its boggs a bit and backfires out the exhaust. What should be on the list...
I never said i liked or disliked any oil. I just think people should do like you and read and get more info before they post why you should or should not do something.... i just dont like when people jump on a bandwagon and dont have any reasons beside "ohhh some body told me do this" and dont...
Man thats alot of reading that will take some time ..... i skimmed some of it for the most part and i failed to see where they actually tested these "theories". To show on a 7m with its tight clearances or any bearing for that matter pertaining to the difference in actual mechanical wear...
No i dont know you very well but since you have some good info i might need to talk to u more to share ideas and argue them..... i do see what you are saying. Can you show the documentation on the level of wear between the different weights of the oil........... Other than that you are telling...
I think its funny how so many people knock 20w-50 in summer time usage ...... I guess most of those who dont like 20w-50 have used it and ended up with a rodknock the momment they changed to 20w-50 or they are have better knowledge than the people at toyota who wrote and design the 7m oil-ing...
Thats why our toyota handbooks says you should choose your oil depending on the temperature range before your next oil change ..... They even go the point to make it obivious that 20w-50 is for temps higher than 80 or so. Since 10w, 15w, 20w can be looked at as the ability to flow when cold. How...
Thats why i told him to get another person or 2 to help him at that point.... that big slab of mental not bolted to anything might just end up crushing some tender human flesh and bone
Hey i remember reading a while back about a trick or as some of u may say a "ghetto mod" about making a narrow band a/f guage read like a wideband or something of that nature .... can someone educate me on this?
I just upgraded my clutch last week ........ It was a breeze once "i thought outside of the box" and tried that idea about buying 2 long and thin nut and bolts.
I agree dont cheap out on stuff like that ..... "the lazy man works the hardest" b/c he is always fixing stuff he should have done right the first time ...... if u want a good deal on IC pipes and anything related check out driftmotions here ya go...
Hey man u are right but lets stay on topic. His question is about finding the easiest and fastest way of taking the tranny out ..... Not what should he do once its all out interms of seals and gaskets etc. But u are right though
20-30mins yea if u are doing the work in a shop and very damn skilled. I know my car like the back of my handDont feed him pipe dreams. Come now ..... :3d_frown: if he is asking how to take the tranny out ..... more than likely he has never done it before and the 1st time is always the hardest...
Its easier to pull the tranny by its self. It takes me an hour by myself in my drive way but i need someone to help take off of the engine ..... the hard part is getting the spindal(*SP) to line up with the engine to bolt it back up...... . If u go to the hardware store and buy two long bolts...
i was referring to the free travel ..... but i think i figured it out. the whole rod can turn and that adjust the free play :) ..... please correct me if i am wrong
I believe our dealer hand books tell us 20w-50 in the summer when the temps are over 80 or so and for the winter 10w-30 or 10w-40 ..... also 5w-30 for the crazy cold temps. Personally i am fan of 20w-50 in the summer months 15w-40 when the temps start to lower and 10w-30 in the middle of winter...
